RE: E-flite Blade 400 why so special?

A programmable radio is a must. IMHO the stock radio was the weak link in the BCP. When I put in HS55's and a DX7, mine became a fine little sport flyer. With the stock radio, it was a squirrel. The...

RE: Upcoming Blade 400?!

DX6i alone!! This just makes my day. I haven't flown my BCP since I sold off the DX7[:o] It turned a squirrely beast into a decent flyer. However I didn't want to spend $300+ again for just this app....

RE: Upcoming Blade 400?!

Is the DX6i radio going to be sold alone? If so....it looks like a smokin' deal.

Sold my DX7, how 'bout Futaba 7C w/ BCP?

I got a DX7 to use w/ a Trex450 but couldn't resist using on my BCP (using the 4n1 'hack' and upgraded HS-55 servos) Boy did it make all the difference in the world!

However, I sold the radio...

RE: Move from CX to FP Heli...

I've been away from heli's for awhile, but back when I was posting I used to say all the time that a FP (I fly the HB3) are the best transition machines from a co-ax bird. Harder to fly than...

RE: Honey Bee Parts

anddi, you've made a great choice if you are just starting w/ the FP Honeybee. Very nice trainer. The part I routinely break in hard crashes is the top main rotor plate. (the link balls snap off)...

RE: New heli

Yoda, you're going to love the DX7. It'll totally transform the BCP. I'd recommend a servo upgrade too. HS55 are a good low cost servos, but if you can afford HS65 MG, then you can use 'em later in...

RE: That's it, I'm selling, I hate the cp pro.

If you're going to get a Trex, then you'll need a computer radio. Try it in your BCPP. It makes a huge difference to have a programmable radio and decent servos. I got mine to where it was a pleasure...

RE: x- heli.com

RE: blade good for a beginner?

Did you ever fly or know someone who flew RC 'planks'? (airplanes) They didn't start with an aerobatic model thinking I'll learn on this and then go fly the AMA pattern later.

No....they...at...

RE: The best Blade upgrade is a programmable TX!

Arrow, yes the Futaba should work fine w/ the stock RX provided they are both in the same 'band' range......high or low. I'm not certain about this, but I think 'low' band goes up to around channel...

RE: Installing seperates in CP

yeah, I dunno what it's used for either. Eflite doesn't make a FP that I've ever seen. Actually, if I were their marketing manager, I'd drop the CP and bring out an FP as the bridge between the CX...

RE: Installing seperates in CP

It would be nice if they'd let you trade toward the 3n1. Never hurts to ask.

I went to the LHS when I got a 2n1 and G90 saying I was going to put in a BCP. The heli 'guru' there didn't tell me...

I'm not sure sometimes if everone @ Horizon is really on top of things.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of beefs regarding helihobby. Only reason I mentioned ithem was I was pretty sure I remembered seing...

RE: The best Blade upgrade is a programmable TX!

Arrow, if you are getting a DX7, pickup an extra AR6100 RX and use that. Put the 6EX in a foamie.

The DX7 is really easy to program. Watch the finless vids and then just go through it step by...

RE: Installing seperates in CP

Don't feel bad. Throwing money away is part of the fun. You wouldn't believe some of the bone head things I did.

You know I just realized, another option might be to to run 2 ESC for brushed...

RE: The best Blade upgrade is a programmable TX!

mrasmm, you're not being rude. If I didn't make things clear, then it's my fault. Pull the 4 screws on the RX side of the case, which is the side opposite of where the revo and gyro gain screws are...

RE: Installing seperates in CP

Revo in the 2n1 unit. It can't be disabled.

W/ the stock 4n1, as you know it can be turned down to a certain degree, but not all the way off. They changed the code in the 3n1 on the pro model...

RE: Installing seperates in CP

You can't do this w/ the 2n1. With a HH gyro you must not run any revo mix and this can't be turned off w/ the 2n1. Same problem w/ the old 4n1 of the original BCP.....the revo can't be turned off...

RE: The best Blade upgrade is a programmable TX!

The 4n1 hack on the original BCP is not difficult and does not require soldering. you simply take the case apart and pry out the receiver circuit board. It plugs into the ESC/mixer board via two 3...

The best Blade upgrade is a programmable TX!

If you are serious about getting your BCP to fly well the first upgrade you want is a good programmable TX. It's next to impossible to get a really proper swash setup without programming, especially...

RE: spektrum DX7 and blade CP PRO

biker, I used Hitec 55's. Now some people say they're not much better than the stock servos, but I found them to be more precise. 65's would be better if you're willing to spend the money.

RE: spektrum DX7 and blade CP PRO

I had a DX7 on a std BCP and loved it. Turns a squirrely little beast into a nice flying bird. Reasons?

1: Subtim. You can finally get those servo arms at 90 degrees for a proper swash setup.

RE: What Trex to get and equip, ect

GrandRC has the Align 2100 mA 3S Lipos priced at 2 for $99. pretty good deal IMHO.

They've also lowered the price on the humble 450XL HDE to $120 as everyone seems to want the direct to swash...

RE: Sad day for me...sold the Rex & DX7

It Was like marrying off the daughter. However, I think found her a good uncle. I made him promise he'd send me pix.
