I believe this just started in 2019. I live in Maryland and I've been mail ordering from them for years and they didn't charge out of state tax before then. Welcome to the new year!

RE: Futaba 12FG Flaperon solution that works!

Thanks Bax. I will in fact be using the CAMBER MIX for precisely the functions you mentioned above since I fly sailplanes and plan to get one soon with flaps and ailerons all on separate servos.

RE: Futaba 12FG Flaperon solution that works!

OK, I went back and carefully tried the CAMBER MIX again and discovered the mistake I and perhaps others have made forcing the flaps to just two positions. I was selecting the variable CONTROL dial...

RE: Futaba 12FG Flaperon solution that works!

Interesting...I'll give it a try. Everytime I tried using the CAMBER MIX function, I ended up with two position flaps rather than linear motion controlled by LS or LD, etc. Perhaps I left off, or...

Futaba 12FG Flaperon solution that works!

Many of us have been struggling with programming the 12FG with aileron differential and flaperon functions where a variable knob or slider is used to control the linear motion of the flaps. I have...

RE: Recommended trainer, Hobbico?

In regard to davek's comment about getting the newer brushless version, both the old (red trim) and new (blue trim) HZ Supercubs have the same brushed motor. It is the "HBZ7134 Motor with Pinion"...

RE: HobbyKing OrangeRx Futaba FASST Compatible 8Ch 2.4Ghz Receiver

"Futaba charges 90plus dollars for a 8 channel 2.4 Fasst receiver...."

Well, not exactly. Tower's current price for three of the R617FS (seven channel-not eight) receivers is $244.95. And with...

RE: Best 6-8ch. Transmitter (Horror Welcome too)

If you want to get a Futaba system, don't get the 6EX. The feature set on the 6EX is very limiting. For example, there is no built in timer on the 6EX for measuring motor run times. The Futaba 7C is...

RE: ESC to use for a super Cup

A couple of years ago I converted my HZ Super Cub to 72MHz and used a C-25. It works perfectly.

RE: Hobbico Nexstar Mini EP 2.4Ghz RTF and Rx-R

I wish I could fly mine more but the weather here has been anything but R/C plane friendly! All we get is rain, snow, WIND and cold. If the weather ever calms down I'll be back out on the field. So...

RE: Hobbico Nexstar Mini EP 2.4Ghz RTF and Rx-R

If you are interested in the Nexstar mini, check this out. Looks like the speed brakes and droops are on the plane for the video.

I'm using a Thunder Power 3s/11.1v 20C 2100 mAh ProLteV2 in my Nexstar mini. It fits perfectly and is somewhat lighter and smaller than other brands. The only downside is that Thunder Power...

RE: Hobbico Nexstar Mini EP 2.4Ghz RTF and Rx-R

dbc,

I have the Nexstar mini and have to agree with all your comments about the shortcomings. I'll add a couple more to round it out. First off, I had to "heavy up" the mounting hardware for the...

RE: ParkZone J-3 Cub RTF

Jordan,

After reading many posts in this thread, I've come to the conclusion that many of us have the same problem with the PZ J-3. I have made some good flights once I got the J-3 airborn and...

RE: ParkZone Cub or Hobby Zone Super Cub????

There is almost no comparision between the two. I bought the PZ J-3 a few months ago since the SC was not yet available. As many have already stated on the PZ J-3 thread, it is a bear to get flying...
