RE: delete

I was there during the fire. The fire extinguisher was tried but it was found to be NON OPERABLE. That's why no one grabs it under the table.

Pusher F-16, what CG, what prop?

Hey Guys,
Just got this pusher F-16 out of an estate sale. It appears to be around 20 years old. Don't have any documentation and can't figure out the manufacturer. Need to know CG and prop...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Yep, still flying my UCD 46 with CG all the way to the rear limit. Running OS .55AX with 13x4w prop on 10% nitro. I think it may be too much prop for the .55AX; not quite as much vertical compared...

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System

Anyone not satisfied with the lack of throttle ratchet tension? I have the left screw tightened all the way and it's still fairly loose. I like to be able to feed rudder without affecting throttle...

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System

Got my A9 yesterday from Tom's RC. Only minor issue is the the throttle ratchet tension. I have mine cranked all the way and it's still not to my liking. Otherwise I am extremely happy with the...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Understood, however, I don't have $300 to drop on a Saito 82 right now so I'm stuck with the OS 55 AX. Really need to know if the 13x4w is too much prop for the 55 AX.

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hey guys, Happy Thanksgiving to all. Do you think I could get away with a 13x4w prop with a 55 AX?

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hey guys, having big time problems with my inverted .55 AX on my UCD 46. Runs fine on both low and high end, but leave it at 30% throttle and it starts losing RPM's and hesitating when full throttle...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Thanks. Fly a H9 Twist .46 and love it, looking forward to the UCD. I know the UCD cries out for a 4 stroke, but going to use what I have which is a .55 AX. Do you think that would be enough motor...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Building my UCD using the Du-Bro HD Adjustable Control Horns versus the supplied plastic horns. What is normally done with the almost 1" extra length of bolt? Should I cut these off with a Dremel...

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

Wow, you really augered that one in. I think it's safe to say that both small and large SD's are prone to snapping with excessive elevator input. We both learned the hard way...

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

Finally happened. Slowed down too much on downwind, turned on base and pulled too much elevator and it tip stalled. I was able to recover, but ran out of airspace. It landed hard on mains and the...

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

Anyone having overheating problems with this bird? Got a .55 AX that runs great on the bench, runs great without cowl, but in the air with cowl I've had multiple dead sticks. I'm considering...

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

Hey guys, two quick questions before I maiden this bird. What do you think of the OS 55 AX & 11x6 combo? Also, my CG is 2 and 3/8 inches. Does this bird require an exact CG of 2.5" or can I get...

Fantastic job! Did you just take your time with the Dremel? How did you get the edges so smooth?

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

I'm going to use Hitec HS-475HB's and run them at 6V so I get 76 oz/in of torque. Sorry to hear about your crash; have you been able to determine why you lost elevator control? Was the plane...

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

Any advice whether standard ball bearing servos would suffice on this bird or do I need to get high torque units?

RE: Sundowner 50 Arf

Picked up the bird today from LHS. Covering is flawless. Can't decide if standard ball bearing servos would be sufficient or if I should get high torque units. Planning on using .55 AX. Cowl is...
