DX2 power up issue

I have a DX2 with the sr3000 receiver on my 1/8 buggy. I had to adjust the steering servo travel down on the radio to keep from binding the linkage. The problem is, when I first turn the power on to...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

That's an interesting idea. I turned the pot all the way until the servo was binding and then backed it down just barely until it stopped. Would it really benefit from being higher. I think I read...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

Exactly how I've been doing it. I am almost ready to get rid of this thing. I have done everything everyone recommends to no avail. If I could just get the tail to hold I could learn to enjoy it. I'm...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

Ok. I set the epa to 100/100. 100 is the highest I can go on the limit pot without binding in rate
mode with the tail pitch slider centered. It's actually holding now better than it ever has. It...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

I'm sure it's messed up now, because I don't have the tail pitch slider centered anymore. I adjusted the servo position to try to get the drift out in rate mode. I'll reset it up like the Finless...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

Ok. My end points go all the way to 140. Should I set them there or 100?
I have gyro on, not inh. Also, my radio doesn't have N and A. Just 0 in the middle
and 100 on each end. Positive and...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

I tried that, but no go. They were discussing a different gyro though. I really need someone that understands not only the operation of the gy-401 but my radio as well. I can't make the tail stop...

RE: T6EXHP and gy-401

I'm setting the gain on the radio. Gyro is listed in the menu. I have the single yellow wire from the gyro plugged into ch.5 on the receiver.

T6EXHP and gy-401

Hi guys. I'm having a terrible time with the gyro on my 450 se v2. I switched to a gy-401 and digital servo after having the same problems with a telebee, but I haven't accomplished anything. I set...

RE: define "rock solid tail"

Yup. Exactly like the video. Using the round wheel. Center hole at 90 degrees with pitch slider centered.

RE: define "rock solid tail"

Ok. Just got my new gy401 and s9257 setup and working. Looks like I have the same issue. I know the gyro is in avcs as the light is solid. Revo is set to INH.
I can increase the gyro gain all the...

RE: define "rock solid tail"

I really don't see any radio problems. Everything works like it should according to Finless' video, the gyro just won't quite keep the tail still. The 401 is already on the way so I guess we'll see...

RE: define "rock solid tail"

I have an actual gyro switch. In standard mode the servo tries to return to center when you release the stick. In hh mode it tends to stay where you put it. This is correct according to the video....

RE: define "rock solid tail"

I can't hover for more than about 5-7 seconds without the tail drifting 90 degrees.
My servo does creep like in the Finless video until I trim it out. I've had my gyro gain
up to 100% without...

RE: define "rock solid tail"

So, how do you adjust the creep out of the servo when you set up the gyro?
I did this according to the Finless video. I understand not using the trim to counter
tail creep when flying, but I have...

RE: define "rock solid tail"

Starting to think my gyro doesn't work right. I have messed with it all evening and still the same thing.
I also notice that after adjusting the creep out of the tail servo with the rudder sub trim...

define "rock solid tail"

I have seen this term used a lot here and was wondering what everyones definition was.
Does the tail stay pointed exactly where you want or does it creep. Mine creeps no matter
what. I'm using a...

I bought my 8 year old son an estes turbo thruster. It's been pretty fun to fly for a toy, and really has me wanting something better.

How to charge nicd nimh with Bantam BC-5

I'm a little confused. My instructions say the charger has delta peak. Is this just for lipo? It also says the charger can charge or discharge up to 14 cells, but I see no way to discharge.

I...
