RE: Where to find yellow/black Pitts Special by Advanced Scale Models?

If you are looking for a quarter scale Pitts I would recoment the Cermark. Mine is powered by a GMS 120 and flys great.

RE: What kit did you REALLY enjoy building?

I enjoyed building the GP RV-4, particularly the wing that went together so easily.

RE: What fuel regulators/pumps work?

I had endless trouble keeping a GMS120 running in my Pitts. Thr tank was located quite far back. I since moved the tank to the CG, installed a Perry oscillating pump and it's now my most reliable...

RE: Matt Chapman question

The well funded show pilots usually have ferry pilots to fly their craft from one venue to another. Those who lack the funds fly the craft from venue to venue themselves.

RE: Pizazz

I have a GMS 76 in mine (only spare motor I had lying around) I made a hatch near the tail and installed the battery there. The rudder and elevator servos are mounted behind the wing. I also...

RE: Extra 300s 40 ARF

This is my favorite model by far. Mine is powered by a 91 Surpass. It fly's like its on rails. Point it where you want to go and it's there. It's easy to wheel land or three point. It will...

RE: Great Planes AT-6 Texan ARF

I have a 70 Surpass in mine. Fly's great but that retracks are a pain. You need to bend them to fit and that weakens the struts. They bend on almost every landing. Other than that it's a good...

Anyone pullin' their RV-4 with a 4-stroke?

I had a TT54 in mine but replaced it with a TT46Pro. It's a great flyer with both. The 54 was not quite enough power for my liking. Flaps work great.

Surpass 91 with Pump Surge Problem

Bax you pointed me in the right direction. The low-end was way too rich. I set the needle back to factory settings and the motor runs great.

Surpass 91 with Pump Surge Problem

I have been using this motor for the past few years without any problems. Towards the end of last season it had trouble starting. Once started it would die if I tried to throttle up. It would run...

GP RV-4 First flights

Bushpilot this is an easy plane to fly. It will handle on the ground easier than your cub. It should fly about the same as your 4-star.
Make sure you have the elevator throws within the...

GP RV-4 First flights

OS 70 would be perfect. I replaced the TT 54 4C with the TT 46 Pro. It flys great but I would prefer some more power to improve the vertical. The OS 70 would be my choise

GP RV-4 First flights

RadioControl I has the same problem for the first 12 or so landings. I hate slowing a plane down too much on landing because of the snap factor and I was landing too fast.

I finally managed to...

What's the best R/C magazine?

R/C Report is gets my vote. I do read RCM and MAN but tend to flip through them. RCR is cover to cover. I do not fly jets, but like thier new jet section.
