RE: Lock out problem? Two planes lost

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the info.

I guess I will be holding on to my Futaba for a little longer or at least until we can get this thing sorted out.

I am a convert from Futaba after I...

Lock out problem? Two planes lost

Sunday morning, me and my buddy lost a plane each. We were the only ones on the field flying the Hitec Aurora 9. This is what happened:

Friend's plane. First flight of the day. A Kyosho Calmato,...

RE: Ignition battery for zenoah g26

Hi Cap10b,

No intention of giving up on the Zenoah G20ei. It's one sweet engine except for the ignition drawing too much juice. Well, that is now hopefully fixed after my conversion to Rcexl....

RE: Ignition battery for zenoah g26

Nevermind. Found the answer which is "No" the ground is not needed and "Yes" just match the wire colors. After switching over to the RCEXL ignition, I found that I did have to readjust the idle...

RE: Ignition battery for zenoah g26

Another question. The sensor connector on the original Zenoah ignition does not seem to follow convention with the black wire in the middle between the red and white. Can I assume that the wire...

RE: Ignition battery for zenoah g26

Quick question. The original Zenoah ignition has a ground wire to be screwed onto the crankcase. The Rcexl ignition does not have this ground wire. Not needed?

RE: Ignition battery for zenoah g26

Thanks. If it's just changing the connectors, that much I can handle. It would make a already sweet engine that much sweeter. I have three DLEs, a Brison, a 3w, a YW(Korean) & a CRRC. Except for the...

RE: Ignition battery for zenoah g26

When you say that the RCEXL ignition module is plug n play, does it mean that no other adjustments or mods are required other than changing the connectors? No need to change timing or sensors? I am...

Download site down?

Hi, I have been trying for the past two nights to update the firmware on my Spectra 2.4 module and Optima 7 receivers. I keep getting a "internet not connected" message. I know my internet IS...

RE: Battery for a CH Ignition

I would say go get a 4 cell pack. C&H ignitions runs great and they run forever on a 4.8 pack. I have a C&H ignition on a old Brison 2.4 that have been running for years on a 4 cell 1100ma Nicad pack...

RE: Covering hole in choke valve

No intention of letting the 3w24i get away. You're right. Awesome running engine but on the heavy side. Still looking for a suitable airframe. Something with lots of wing area like a decathlon,...

RE: Covering hole in choke valve

Thanks Jody. Makes sense. I just got a tube of Permatex from Ace to fix an air leak in a 3w24i. It's gasoline resistant so guess I will use that.

Covering hole in choke valve

My DLE 30 doesn't seem to draw fuel well on the first start without covering the hole in the choke valve with my finger. I'm about to Crowl my Yak so that would not be feasible going forward. I know...

RE: Extension tube on carb (3w24i)

Didn't try the extention tube thingy today. Couldn't find a right sized tube.
However, I did manage to run the engine on a MenzS 17x10 prop. Idle at 1900 rpm with smooth transition to WOT....

RE: Extension tube on carb (3w24i)

Thanks guys. I might just go ahead and give it a shot. Since I have the engine mounted on a test stand now, it shouldn't be too hard to do. Will let u guys know how it goes.

RE: Extension tube on carb (3w24i)

Thanks for the information.

I guess that's one idea shot to hell. These rear induction engines run good once you get them started. But it's a ***** to mount and set-up. Guess I have to find a...

RE: Super Frontier Senior - 46 from AirBorne Models
