RE: Question regarding used helicopter pricing...

Well, you're spot-on as always. I was just coming by to remove the above thread as it turns out it sold tonight (just now, actually), but, as you said, I had to shave off $100 to make it happen. Sold...

RE: Hurricane 550...

Very glad to hear it! I'm fairly certain this would have to be the heli if I move to a larger electric. Hopefully it was just a battery or ESC problem that won't show up again!

Dan - Well, it's...

RE: Hurricane 550...

Now that is really something! Any ETA until such a product reaches the market? Also, how do they compare in weight to Li-Po? On that note, how do you charge them?

Thanks for the heads-up!

RE: Need help with Cellpro 4s charger!!

I usually set my to 3C. It can only charge at about 2C, of course, with my 2100's, but that makes sure it's using the full 4Amps even if I go down to a 1300. Just hold down the blue button to switch...

Boy, that really is something! Hopefully they show up soon.

New Lithium technology, eh? Care to clue us in? I thought I had heard of something like Lithium-Ion Sulfate coming down the pipe...?...

RE: Need help with Cellpro 4s charger!!

Agreed. I've had the CellPro for a couple months now and have never been so impressed with a charger. Give them a call and don't let it get you down.

RE: Checking / Setting Cyclic Pitch

Reviews for the SA and Mini Titan, eh? I'm thrilled to hear it! Any news on the 600E/N reviews?

RE: America Fly .30

Yup. I'd report him ASAP to eBay and link this thread. This guy obviously does not deserve to be selling anything, and for him to have the audacity to come back here and tell you he has ripped you...

RE: Trex 600 Electric vs Nitro?

Yeah, I guess there's nothing I could argue with that. If you can get a ruddy Nitro engine to run. I guess I just don't have the knack for it.

You'll be happy either way, but (as always) Mr....

No, that's very fair. I never said he was a master of entertainment ;)

I found myself squirming a bit as well, but I was able to watch them while at work, so I didn't feel right complaining...

RE: Trex 600 Electric vs Nitro?

Last I heard - and please note that I've only flown the electric, so my opinion may be worthless - the electric version is the one to have. I'm not sure that there's anything wrong with the nitro...

RE: Checking / Setting Cyclic Pitch

No problem. I make a point of burning a CD copy of those movies (which is approved by Finless) for anyone I know starting on heli's. Some of it is very basic, but it's all worth reviewing.

Good...

RE: just bought Clear View and.....

Well, fair enough. The biggest thing with ground effect is just getting out of it. If you're having trouble getting off the ground, I would recommend getting up a bit higher. It's not like I don't...

RE: Checking / Setting Cyclic Pitch

No problem. I wouldn't say a ring is necessary for starting 3D (I've been doing well enough without one for months), but it is vital when you decided to begin piro-flips. That's the first big trick I...

RE: How much can I expect to pay for this configuration?

I believe the 401 can handle 6 volts, but the 9650 on the tail cannot. If you want to eliminate buying a voltage reducer, you could use the JR DS3400G tail servo instead which will handle 6v. Also,...

RE: Checking / Setting Cyclic Pitch

Cyclic pitch is mostly going to come down to how far you can set your Aileron and Elevator limits with out the inner swash rubbing on the main shaft or the flybar cage hitting the blade grips. You...

RE: just bought Clear View and.....

A lot of people use Phoenix or RealFlight. Personally, I've been flying ClearView for about 8 months now which is also about how long I've been flying helis. I have found ClearView to be an accurate...

RE: Hurricane 550...

Ouch! Any time it's not the pilot's fault, it's a rotten crash. Sorry to hear about that. I guess I would second what Dan said, a wire must have shorted somewhere. Hopefully the companies will...

RE: Best heli with still and video camera for a business

Very true and solid points about the gassers! I think they're gems to fly, but they scare the crap out of me. I may be biased as one very nearly killed me (actually, it was the Vigor, heh), but they...
