Stock couplers do not do well long term... they'll vibe the poop out of your equipment. I have 15-20hrs on my Graupner u-joint without a problem. Here's a copy/paste on an email I sent a guy on...

That sucks... sorry to hear that. Go for a u-joint... and like ISIRC10 said... test outside. You can set up your RX and ESC outside and then install it for best results.

Graupner doesn't make the exact fit u-joint for my application either... but I buy the 3.2 to 2 and put the 2mm side on a lathe and run it to 2.3mm. It's all about modding fun!!

She's done!!! Had a water jacket leak on the motor... one of the orings had a burr from install... good thing it came with a spare oring. All sealed up now. Sink test proved leak free... so it got...

I have 2 suggestions:

1: get a full sized servo... I hear a lot of guys having micro's burn out. I have the Traxxas 2075 waterproof servo.

2: get a lower mah rating 3s with a higher...

More work on it tonight...

Got the servo mounted, RX mounted, plumbed the outlet and inlet hoses, glued in a battery tray and ESC tray... waiting on the marine goop to set (tomorrow) and my head...
