RE: rc18T turnbuckle troubles

Are they steel or titanium turnbuckles? If steel then they may just be turned in too tight to the point where they are binding on the ball studs. The fix is to grind a thread off of turnbuckles to...

RE: 1/18 On-Road making a comeback?

I don't think that it will be a "come back" until a couple of other manufacturers jump on the band wagon and release their own designs. The 18R is cool but it can't compete in the same class as the...

RE: Xmods Questions

I have 2 Xmods. They are great kitchen racers for when the weather man says "thou shalt not go outside."

RE: inverting the shox...any reason why not?

I tried it before too. But I did it to lower the cener of gravity and stop leaks. It didn't stop the leaks, it just slowed the leaking down until I found a thread on the 003 o-ring fix. As for...

RE: Mini- Dirt Oval Racing

That really is a large track. What is the drive line length of it?

I was racing on an indoor banked dirt oval but since getting ready for the cross country move (Texas to Washington in 18 more...

RE: My RC18T List

You can save yourself 18.93. The Integy Alloy EVO-X Conversion Kit RC18T already comes with an Integy Aluminum bell crank. The picture also shows it with the Integy aluminum servo cover.

You...

RE: off road mini racing...

My son was whooping on adults when he was 11. Now he's 12 and trying to whoop on me too. But to answer your question it is probably up to the tracks owners and whether or not the person has the...

RE: how to lower a rc18t

It doesn't really stop the leaking. It slows the leaking down with gravity.

Flipping the shocks so that the body side is down adds the extra mass/weight of the shocks body and oil to the...

RE: how to lower a rc18t

If you are willing to disassemble your shocks, you could put a couple of old shock o-rings on the shock's shaft inside the body. I did this when I was racing my RC18's on carpet. I used to run with 2...

RE: Which drive shaft to use in a Scion Evo?

I just finished installing the AWD kit in my Scion. It uses the medium length center shaft.

RE: carpet racing

That's why I will not race 1/8th scale. The cost of 1/18th is the reason that a lot of people are returning to the hobby. Although I do think that $1000 is a bit much. For that price in 1/18th a...

RE: RC18t Gearing??

Go figure... I race on an indoor dirt oval a well. dont know the exact drive length, but it isn't very big either.

The lower the pinion gear = the slower the speed. But as a side effect it also...

RE: RC18t Gearing??

It's really going to just come down to how you drive and the track that you race on. I use Intellect 1400's and a Mamba 6800kv motor in my RC18. I jumped from a 60:14 to a 55:10, 55:11, etc. all the...

RE: Why 1/8 over 1/10

Cost and required stogage space are the reasonds that I now race 1/18th. My 1/10th scale nitro is just to much to maintain. Now it just looks good in a cardboard box.

RE: RC18t questions

I wouldn't even consider thinking of running a Mamba 8000 without MIP CVD's and Superdiffs. Well, that and a whole lot of open space.:D

RE: 18t problems.

Try the DP draglink. It's better than any other. You also may look into a tighter servo saver.

RE: Kyosho Half 8 Mini Inferno 777

Not a typo. It's part of their Thanksgiving sale. Free shipping on orders over $50.00 too. I ordered a Half 8 from them today for my brother in law for Christmas. I probably should have ordered 2.

RE: Should the Rascal race with other mini's?

I don’t see anything wrong with a 2-wheel drive off road vehicle. And is there really anything wrong having too much power? The Associated RC10GT is a very capable 2-wheel drive nitro vehicle. As...

RE: Should the Rascal race with other mini's?

Most hobby shops would run them together at first and watch to see if there was a clear advantage. That is unless the class was a spec class. After enough of them began showing up they would probably...

RE: RC18T Team Kit Servo assembly - help!

Yes that is the same DP draglink. I love mine. What it does is, removes and takes place of the current draglink and with it the screws that are currently hitting the servo.
