I don't think it is an electrical problem. It is some vibration or cavitation. My Scorpion 3020-12 is good for 800W continuous and I am only pulling 500W. The speed controller is a Castle Creations...

Norm,
I have tried it with an 11x10 apc and it does the same thing, it doesn't do it with the 10x7 apc, but it also doesn't get fast enough with that prop.

That looks like my friend's T-28 after his series of mishaps. If it makes you feel better my P-51 was in many more pieces when it "found the ground." Unfortunately I didn't have a camera...

The hard landing that broke the motor mount was a little more of a "ran into a fence at full speed" than flawed landing technique. We are going to coat his new mount in epoxy to stiffen it...
