hey gang.. I have a O.S. 55AX that wont stay running.. Twice in flight it died and I landed the plane.. good to go.. Now, I'm bringing the pair back out to see if I could find the issue.. My problem...

Im using Cool Power 15% w/ stock plug swinging a 13x4 prop... I think my last tach. reading was around 9400... It idles great, transitions good... ???? Im lost...

Im having some dead stick issues with my OS 55AX.. can anyone flying one of these tell me the set up they have... rpms, low speed needle setting, h/speed setting... Ive checked all I know to check.....

I store mine in the garage in SC and its plenty damn hot down here... I use phone wire (smooth) and loop it rafter to rafter as a sling with the tails up in the empty spaces between rafters.

Very nice job gaRCfield. I know that shaky feeling myself... Exponential is a preference thing but, I sure recommend it. Most of the manuals recommend it. It is a tool thats put on that TX for good...

thanks guys.. this is an OMP Edge V3 Profile so the alpha attitude test is a great idea... what prop are you using on your profile w/the 55AX and do you happen to remember what your high and idle...

Right Thrust

When building in right thrust.... when facing the plane, prop spins left and as I was told (I think) add 2-3 washers under the front motor mounts... this is on a Profile with a 55 AX on its side......

Airtech... I understand what you mean now.. about using the "blocks" .... a picture is worth a thousand words... :) .. Im also using the HS-81 with an O.S.55 AX and the throttle worked out fine.....

I went ahead and formed the tank.. heated it, then molded it to fit around the servo butt... doing that with 1/4 piece of foam to pad the tank against the fuse and it fits like a glove... looks like...

I have a remote fuel system ( has the "dot" ) thought about running a short tube and use just the dot to plug it.. was hoping a drop of CA into the end of the tube might do it. Not sure if the fuel...

I have a 3 line tank...(vent, feed, fill) Just built a profile and only need 2 lines. (vent & feed) but, I have a 3rd.. (fill) dont need it... what is the best way to close off an unneeded line???...

thanks AirTech... figured I was over thinking it.. just seemed like a big gap to willy nilly it... not sure how it helps your servo link as its on the other side..?? I'm using the OS 55. for my bird....

almost there... :) another question... when doing the fuel tank... when putting it on the left side it presses against the back of the throttle servo creating a gap of about 1/4" all around... are...

Mike, group, hope all had a Merry Christmas... got my Edge V3 with the 55 AX ... looks really good cant wait to get started on it... question Ive never had to build in the right thrust for a motor.....

well, just when I thought I had it figured out.... so, do we twist the wires together or do we lay them side by side? twisting would seem better just for pure strength but, maybe not... I really do...
