RE: hbk2 weak chassis motor mount

I noticed increased strength and less flexing after installing a 28mm diameter brushless motor. The larger diameter and machined end bell seems to improve the overall strength of the motor mount....

RE: Is the Belt-CP a eCCPM or a mCCPM?

I was wrong. The Belt CP is indeed an e CCPM.

RE: Is the Belt-CP a eCCPM or a mCCPM?

I beleive the Belt CP uses a mechanical collective pitch system.

Here is a link on the Belt CP;

RE: 5 # 5 vibration.

Make sure that the main blades are "straight" by pulling "out" slightly on the ends of the upper and then lower blades. Otherwise you may have a bent inner or outer main shaft as mentioned in the...

RE: Raidentech Raptor G2 RTF $185 Belt Drive

There is a big thread on the G2 in the RCU heli Beginners forum with tons of info/tips on this heli. BTW, I have had good service from "Grandhobby" which is, IIRC, the same as Raidentech,...

RE: Esky 11.1v 1800mAh LI-Po ; how long to charge?

It's a good idea to check the cell voltages both before and after charging. I run my 1500mAh Esky battery down to ~ 3.70 (no load) volts per cell and charge it until it reaches ~ 4.05 to 4.10 volts...

RE: next step after eflite blade cx?

Ya, $300 should get you into a HBK2 with a brushless motor/ESC upgrade and maybe even a larger capacity battery as well. The K2 flys quite well with a BL motor and a larger battery...

RE: Tailrotor Direction of Rotation

IIRC, there have been a number of posts in the Esky (King 2) forum on this topic. I think some some guys said they lost authority, some said it made no difference, and others thought that they gained...

RE: dumb question about the 2 tx knobs!

xodarap1 is correct, as I'm running a 3550kv BL motor, 11T pinion, and 1500mAh battery. IIRC, I was running the pretty much the same HOV.PIT and PIT.TRIM settings that you note with the stock brushed...

RE: Eflite 3cell lipo?

I'd check the voltages again (I'm sure you did this already) and then calculate the cell voltage totals.

I get the following from the figures that you posted;

12.17v - 7.92v = 4.24v

RE: heat sink ???

I agree with Old Sloopy. Just be sure to use a little heatsink compound between the motor and heatsink while you're at it. Eflite sells a 5g. tube (P/N EFLM1913) for about $5.

RE: dumb question about the 2 tx knobs!

This link should have the entire HBK2 TX manual down at the bottom of the thread. You can also download this manual as well as an updated K2 manual from the Esky website ( www.twf-sz.com )

RE: KIng 2 BL motor "jittery"

Sorry, I was thinking (?) of a brushed system. I have never measured the output voltage on a brushless ESC and can't find any info on how to safely do this. I do know that you must use a multimeter...

RE: KIng 2 BL motor "jittery"

The Eflite 25A Pro ESC (EFLA1025) is indeed intended for fixed wing aircraft and heli ESCs often have a higher peak amp rating due to the current that they pull. However, the HDX 4200 BL motor is,...

RE: Hot motor from continuous flying?

I run an Align 430L w/25A ESC and a 1500mAh 15C 3s lipo and the motor/ESC/batt all get a "little" hot if I fly more then 7-8 minutes continuous so I try to let everything cool down for 2-3 minutes...

RE: Where to buy a brushless motor/ESC combo

I installed a 3550Kv brushless motor w/25A ESC and 1500mAh lipo in my K2. This setup has made the heli even easier to fly now (due to the weight increase) and it has good power as well (flight times...

RE: Venom NR2 Turning right???

Turning the proportional mix rate screw counter clockwise will decrease the tail motor "mix" rate. Turning this screw to the right will make the nose of the heli turn right while turning the screw to...

Try turning the Proportional Mix Trimmer Pot down (-) a bit on the 4 in 1.

I recommend that...

RE: Esky's take on the poor stock HBK2 motors

The stock K2 motor, IMO, was never designed to run at 11+ volts let alone the current load seen on this heli. This motor is not much bigger then the motor used in the Blade CP yet the K2 is a much...

RE: align 35A esc and 430xl in HBK2?

The Align 430L and 25A ESC work well in my K2. The motor mount needed very little work in order to get the motor to fit and I did this with a 5/32" medium rat tail file along with a small flat file...

RE: Winter is coming, What is the best micro ?

I "hover" a Blade CP and HBK2 in the 10' x 14' space in my garage during bad weather. The Blade CP gets about 12-15 hours of flight per tail motor and about 15-18 for the main motor. I do not fly...
