RE: Flting the T-Rex 450 in the house?

Sure! The house is also a good place to run your lawnmower, make bonfires, and test explosives.

RE: TREX 450 Se V2 up and flying:Dual Rate/EXP/Auto Duel rate DX7?

No problem - glad to be of service. :D

With regards to your tail rotor, I've had the exact same problem. The solution is a new tail drive hub, and I suggest getting the one with the metal...

RE: TREX 450 Se V2 up and flying:Dual Rate/EXP/Auto Duel rate DX7?

Congrats on getting your T-Rex into the air - that's no small task. ;)

1) One of the best things about the T-Rex is it's wide range of tuning options. It can be made quite docile with only a...

RE: problem with backwards flip

I have this same problem when I'm not careful while doing my flips. My guess is that you're bogging the rotor, in which case collective management is the answer.

Going full negative while at a...

RE: First crash wasn't from flying...

LOL :) Sorry about that. I guess it is a little depressing... Reality sucks sometimes. :D

If you can believe it, I actually had a crash a couple weeks ago that bent everything but the...

RE: First crash wasn't from flying...

These things happen... It's definitely a learning experience. I make it a rule to always disconnect the motor anytime I want to plug in a battery on the bench. The only time both the motor and...

RE: Blade CX flybar damping mod

Glad it was useful. :D

My original damping mod is still going strong. I'm thinking about replacing the foam, but it still seems to be working well... If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;)

RE: CX2 Clack of Death

Good luck with that. Blade clash is essentially impossible to get rid of completely. [:o]

Moving the control linkages is a primary cause of blade clash. Extending the upper head may...

RE: Very Very New To Heli

There are a lot of sims out there, but I'm a big fan of RealFlight. You can download a free demo from their website.

There are some decent free T-Rex downloads for RealFlight as well.

RE: Very Very New To Heli

A T-Rex of any kind, although stable and a true pleasure to fly, is a difficult way to start. It flies great but crashes hard. If you don't have a lot of build experience, I can guarantee that you...

RE: Eflite Blade CX

Sound advice. Every time you need to buy a pack of blades, buy three packs. Of each type. You'll be glad you did. ;)

RE: CX/2 Mod... which hole is best?

Hey Soloboss!

Yep, the foam damper is still doing the trick nicely. ;) It might be slightly less effective than when it was first installed, but I haven't had blade clash in quite a while. I...

- aluminum lower head
- CF boom
- shortened flybar
- flybar damping mod (foam)
- control arms moved to 3rd hole
- cooling holes cut in canopy
-...

RE: First build problems, please help!

What motor and ESC are you using? If you're using the Align setup, you will not hear any beeps if the motor has been disconnected. The ESC doesn't have a speaker of its own - it actually resonates...

RE: Stiff swashplate

By stiff do you mean that it doesn't rotate smoothly? If so, I would think that a drop of oil and a couple flights would loosen it up just fine.

RE: Blade CX Part Interchange

Hmm... Well, I suppose you could always use some small velcro straps or rubber bands to secure it to the plate instead. Alternately, you could do away with the battery holder bracket arms...

RE: Which servos? please? 65mg, 65hb or dx7?

That's why you buy a DX-7 transmitter-only version and buy the servos separately. The AR6100 is a very nice choice for the receiver.

RE: Which servos? please? 65mg, 65hb or dx7?

DX7, HS65MGs. You will never look back.

No more frequency or blown out servo worries. What could be better than that?
