Some of the motor cans do not come apart and the brushes are not replaceable, so thats not an option. Two hours is pretty much what everybody agrees on, and the guys that do it often spend big...

The brushes need to sit against commuter, and new ones are flat. The commuter is round. A motor that is not broken in and turned up full bore will arc from the commuter to the part of the brush...

On the break in of the motor, I bought to D cells in a small box, ripped off the lid, took out the batteries, put aluminum foil in the bottom of the box, put one battery in right side up, one down,...

The Super Cub is a superb first plane. After CA-ing it a few times with backyard dart landings, I have added ailerons to it, dual 55 s in the wing, and I had a Park 450 brushless outrunner sitting...
