RE: Wanting to get into RC tanks, don't know where to start?

I started with one Heng Long, and now I have 3. Upgrading them is only limited to what you want to do with them. A buddy and I are both using Dave's Battle Circuits and Battle unit for IR battle, and...

RE: Inspecting IR emitters?

Does anyone know of the advantages and disadvantages of using 3mm vs. 5mm. I experimented with both, and had know range issues from one to the other. I am currently using 3mm in aluminum tube with...

RE: Inspecting IR emitters?

You brought up a good and very interesting topic. I understand and agree with what you are saying.

With this all still new to me, this is the stuff I wonder about. After seeing a couple of the...

RE: Inspecting IR emitters?

After reading this thread, and as a newb to tanks, I would just like to say that as a hobby, I think we need to concentrate on making rules or requirements that will work for our battle units, but...

RE: Mantlet vs Barrel IR mount

Been curious about this question also. Although I doubt I will ever get to participate in any of the larger club battles, I would like to at least know that my tanks were ok to use. I currently have...

RE: Revisiting motor upgrades

Good to know about the Electrifly motors. Breaking motors in is always good.

Don't know if people stil do it or not, but a few years back, you broke your brushed motors in by running them...

I installed the Promax motors in my Bulldog, and boy did it make a difference. The tank can maneuver over things it could not with the stock motors. I think it is running faster also, but I am not...

RE: Revisiting motor upgrades

I ordered a couple of the Promax motors since they had 7.2v ones. I am going to hold off the Electifly T-400 until I see how the Graupner and Promax motors work out. I have 3 Tanks to modify, so I...

RE: Revisiting motor upgrades

Well, I found some 6v Graupner speed 400's, so I am going to give them a shot. If I don't have any overheating issues with the RX18, I will stick with them for a while. I will also look into the...

RE: Revisiting motor upgrades

The Electrifly t-400 is not timed, that is why I am thinking about it. I saw it mentioned on another tank forum, but I can't find anyone who has actually tried them.

Revisiting motor upgrades

Graupner Speed 400 7.2v motors are hard to find lately.

Looking at some of the earlier threads, the Graupners look like a good choice.

Has anyone tried Electrifly T-400 motors? If so, what...

RE: LED Flash and DBC question

I wondered about the transistors. Without reviewing the circuit, I did not know how the transistors were being used. The only reason I question the transistor is that everything works the first time...
