I think I'm gonna switch to the 18t pinion and see if that drops my motor temps.

Also, I slung a tire completely off the rim. I'm thinking if I duct tape the inside it'll limit the ballooning...

Um, what do you mean by calibrate the controller? You mean the transmitter? Do what to it? Honestly, I'm a bit uneasy about it being a regular channel type setup instead of a spread spectrum...

Also, I got the motor installed along with the esc. I just have to solder on my battery leads now and I'm good to go.

Ok, that makes sense.

My packs can peak at about 120A. and are 11.1V

So, that yields over 1300 watts which is about 1.80 hp. Not bad at all.
