RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

Although I too vote for upgrading to deans connectors, I can confirm that the connector is indeed a female mini tamiya.

RE: Megatech Pro-Pulse Review

Mmmm, GNX...definitely a fine ride! ;) And I -love- that "turbo" gold necklace...you're a lucky man with an awesome wife! :)

We should start up a thread showing off our "real" rides. I've got...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

I've been attempting to contact someone at Megatech who may be able to give me some answers as far as specs go. But as of right now, can't tell you anything more than what I know: The price may be...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

Making packs is pretty darn easy, just takes a good bit of time. There is an article here on RCU explaining it, actually two articles if I remember right... You can get everything you need from...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

I happens, but rarely. I've had it happen once between two vehicles in two months... I've noted it happening on other people's vehicles from time to time as well. So it isn't a major problem, just...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

The springs go into the diff output shafts, where the dogbones go in. So the spring just ends up "behind" the dogbone... And even if you were to swap to RC18 diffs, RC18 uses those springs stock,...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

Works fine for me, no binding... The problem with the RC18 bones being too short doesn't originate on the carrier's output side, but rather on the wheel hubs themselves. As the suspension travels...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

They work, just need to drop a spring into the diff carrier's output. Just crack open a mechanical pen or pencil and cut the spring to length...only need about 3-4mm of spring (weaker springs may...

RE: Megatech Pro-Pulse Review

I've ran both of mine a good 250-300' down the road I live on (basing judgment on knowing how far away the end of a football field looks from the other endzone). Absolutely no control issues. But...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

I haven't encountered RC18 dogbones which have pins are too long yet...but I only have GPM and AE bones... Only found the bones themselves to be too short, which is remedied easily by using a small...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

I doubt I'll be the first, but I do plan on picking one up first chance I get. But that's looking like it will be a good month or so before I drop any amount of cash more than for a replacement part...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

I think I know where you're headed with you're line of reasoning on the batteries, pimptempura, but it does need a little revision:

A battery where all specifications are precisely the same,...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

The only difference between the buggy and the truck are the wheels, tires and body.

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

Ah, good to know. I was gonna snag some MIP RC18 diffs, anyone happen to know if their diff kit includes said springs? I'm assuming it is the spring that is part of the #21115 rebuild kit shown to...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

The towers and plate have been known not to fit for a long time. I don't think anyone has ever claimed them to fit. The dogbones however, I'm pretty sure are only working for people who have also...

RE: 6 cell ib1400 or 7 cell ib1400- what is the diff. in preformance?

What is the difference? 1.2 volts! ;)

A 7 cell pack adds extra weight but provides more voltage, so the motor spins up faster. Runtime shouldn't be affected much at all. Definitely a better...

RE: Ultimate Drift rc18t?

I admittedly haven't looked into what RC drifters are doing, but on a real drift car, too much power can definitely be a detriment to a beginning driver (I've got a real Toyota Corolla AE86 myself). ...

RE: Official Pro-Pulse Thread

Since you have confirmed that the arms, turnbuckles and dogbones fit, it follows that the hubs can work as well. Although it is possible that with the front suspension, the carrier and steering...

RE: Megatech Pro-Pulse Review

I speak for seven Pro-Pulse's when I say this. My own two (buggy & truck), my roommate's, a co-worker, another co-worker who owns both buggy & truck and a friend with the truck. I've been asking...

RE: Pro-B100

Yeah, the big thread is the place to go, but, your batteries will only last about 15 minutes of constant driving at best. So if you're getting an hour of time out bashing around, then you should be...
