how fast are the new brushless tornado's compared to the gas ones?
I have a OSpowered tornado xp now that flys but still want somthing faster.

also its not the exhaust that hinders, its the stupid rotary, non slide carb. All your race engines have slide carbs. I about put an STS 28 in mine but i would have lost the brakes and it would need...

I have an os 18 in my tornado xp, that thing will move. its alot faster than my sts 28 powered huricane xp.

harbor frieght has a smaller one like the duratrax one that has a laser on it that goes up to 450+ f,
jsut dont get the 250 f one. mine works great and it only cost 15bucks.

yea with the low geared CB it wooks great. but with the large CB it suffers on top, the stocker (mine still works) is also a little tall.

well i have the pull start, and i use odonalds 30%. it has been hard to start ever since its been broke in. when i ran it pig rich for break in it started like a champ. i think its boiling the fuel...

well its been though about 3 gallons. all track and the temps have never been about 290 and that was only cause i was running very low on fuel. 1 time for a very short time.

it ran like crap on top. so i did lean it out alittle, but it still 4stroked on top. i never had it running right cause i still consider it breakin.

i have a .28 3 port and it really likes to run what i consider hot 270s 280s anything less its to rich. i still have good smoke but that just seems hot to me.

what do you want to do with it? i would recomend skip the 1/10 scale unless your just baseball field bashing or running in a parkinglot. the 1/8 are alot better on a track or over ruff grass like in...

thats what i did to mine, its a road truggy though. i lowered it and put stiff oil in the shocks, with speedhog proline tires. its sweet and i havent broken anything except for a steering knuckle...

top speed i think a big sts + a high gear= 55mph

the sts 28 or 30 should be able to pull off the tall gear better than a smaller .21 8 port. that cost less than 200$ if you go with a high dollar...
