Hi!

Do you know that the DF can do loops, rolls and many other things except the inverted flying? You only have to use a different electronics:

RE: Octocopter

Hi!

Actually in the mentioned video, the Star-3D is virtually controlled as a quadrocopter, so always a pair of motors get the same speed command. That's the same for the Orion 8 Octocopter....

RE: NON-DRAGANFLYER / OFF TOPIC DISCUSSION

Hi!

If you want to do this in reality, it's not the DF itself that prevents you from doing this:

You only need a different...

RE: X-UFO, X-3D Vs UAVP OpenSource Quadrocopter

Well, that wasn't directly our intention...The X-Base and X-3D are originally meant for the X-BL but offer some power FETs which can be used to convert the Draganflyer to a aerobatic fun flyer :-)...

RE: X-UFO, X-3D Vs UAVP OpenSource Quadrocopter

That's what the website tells you. In reality it has gyros, partially (still in developement) accelerometers and since a few days a one axis magnetic field sensor. Pressure and GPS are "future"...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

We are not responsible for the english website. That's the X-Ufoshop ;-)

And no, it's not really a vacation, it's an experiment. We are currently in Boston and will be back in...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

No, I was not one of them, but they (Daniel Gurdan and Klaus Doth) are good friends of mine and we have build the X-3D and the X-BL's together.

But as far as I know from the german...

RE: Flying Tricks?

Hi!

The english site will be online soon. We started with the beta test this week and hopefully get enough bug reports in the next 2-3 weeks to finalize the hardware design. The brushless...

RE: Flying Tricks?

Acrobatic flight with a FP-Quadrocopter? Sure, that's possible :-)

http://forum.xufo.net/bb/viewtopic.php?p=53348#53348

I guess the DF is also able to fly loops. Has anyone tried it yet?

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

The X-3D BL Ufo that's flying in the snow video was an early prototype. The most recent versions are more enhanced. Have a look at our latest videos:

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

Sorry, prices are not fixed yet. But I can tell you, that the whole kit they will be around a DF 5 TI. It's not RTF, but build together with a screwdriver and with simple cable soldering...

No. But I think the additional price is worth the advantages.

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

Brushless in general gives you a lot more effiency. The motors are more reliable and don't need a gearbox. I only know the numbers for the X-Ufo: The normal X-Ufo weighs about 210g with...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

Sure. As the controller loop calculates 1000 times per second the orientation and rotational speeds of the UFO and corrects it if necessary the wind virtually disappears as long as the...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

I did fly the DF5 without TI twice. And from my experience it's a lot harder to fly the DF. The UFO (also without brushless) is much more precise and seems to be a lot faster in response...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

The X-3D is only the gyro module. It's 180EUR atm. The prices for the brushless kit are not fixed yet. It's also a modular kit. First you can replace the X-Ufo Mainboard with the new one and...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

Yes, it't not meant for aerial photography although it's capable of it as long as you stay in a sufficient visual range.
And it's also a fraction of the price of the SAVS system, but...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

Sure. We did some outdoor AP videos, but this is not the recommended application for the X-3D brushless. It's not save to put a few 100$ cam ontop of the UFO as you can not
100% be sure...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

Actually I'd like to make clear, that Hammer has nothing to do with the X-3D or the brushless kits. He's doing mechanical frames and uses the X-3D as customer.

Back to the topic: The...

RE: Brushless Draganflyer?

Hi!

These problems are related to the china mainboard and the china transmitters. They are gone with the X-3D Brushless. The brushless UFO is completly developed and produced in Germany.
