RE: J-3 Cub 25 ARF

I have the global cub...it is stand way off scale but that's ok. I fly mine with an OS .25 and a 10x4 prop. Stick with recommended throws on the elevator. Take off on low rates and you can fly and...

RE: Megatech J3 Cub 25 Manual

I've been really happy with all my Berg Rx's, should work great.

Here's the CG and throws per the manual:

CG: 1 and 7/8ths inches from the leading edge. My cub is slightly nose down at...

RE: J-3 Cub 25 ARF?

Modeltech makes a .25 j3. It's "stand way off " scale though. Won't win any competitions. It's fun to fly, just watch control throws on the elevator....it will snap. Make sure you have plenty of...

RE: prolines out of balance

I've got a XXX-T with a brushless system in it. I balance all my tires with a prop balancer. I just use plumbers solder in small pieces to balance. It takes me about an hour to do all 4 tires. I...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, your multimeter will show the proper polarity, so if the leads are reversed you'll see a neg. polarity sign.
If they both show the same voltage...no need to balance.
Yes, it's been reported...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ILoveMinis, let us know how that works out. The Azzar antennas would be perfect for this set up.
All good advice from ClutchBob...Vtecguy, remember too that a 200mah 3.7v parallel pack will only...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VTECguy21, it's very likely the 100mah lipos won't have the poop for the micro-t. It can draw upwards of 2.5 amps. That's asking alot of a 100mah lipo, even in parallel. Proceed with caution.

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RRH, yes I still have a spad in my stable. I crashed a few...cannabilized a few... I've got just too much r/c stuff in general... A dozen or so planes, half glow, half electric, 2 micro helis...1/10...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your field battery will be fine. I connected mine to a 15 volt wall transformer and it did fine. But, with any power source the charger seems to have a very mild peak, which can leave packs a little...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Cheapatterypacks 160's are very good. The best I've tried so far for can NiMH cells. Good wheelie factor:)
They take around 165-170mah on recharge....seem to hold voltage very well. Slightly...

RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's something funny. I quickly ditched the stock charger and went to charging with my ace supersmart charger. This charger is normally used for my aircraft Rx and Tx packs.
Anyway, I put it...

RE: Team Losi Micro t problem

How many charges would you say you have on the pack? A voltmeter is very handy in a situation like this. The oem charger isn't the greatest, especially if the pack has reached an unusually low...

RE: Gee Bee R-2: "Official" Build & "Show-off" thread

Yup, those pants look familiar.
One thing I did to possibly help prevent tip overs is to add small blocks of wood on the inside of the pant. One on each side. They touch the landing gear legs on...

RE: Gee Bee R-2: "Official" Build & "Show-off" thread

Yes, the R-2 had the smaller wasp engine...for cross country, hence the smaller cowl.
Good documentation. The prototype R-1 with the smaller vertical fin was a little squirrely in flight...so...

RE: Gee Bee R-2

It's funny you mention...the cowl on mine looks more like and R-1 cowl...I mean the opening is pretty large.
I've got a ryobi 31cc I'll be putting on the R2. I ran it for a few years in a scratch...

RE: PHOENIX Sukhoi .46 nose weight ????

Be careful test flying without the cowl. Remember your cg will change with it on or off. Also, you could risk losing some rudder/elevator authority without the cowl. The big, flat firewall really...

RE: Warrior 7020/lehner 5300 will it work?

Nicads are abusable...lol. You may want to consider some good NiMH's in the 3700 to 4200mah capacity. Brushless motors run much better on good cells. On 7 cells you will be pulling some amps. Don't...

RE: Warrior 7020/lehner 5300 will it work?

I have the older 7018 with a feigao 3807T motor. I run it on 7 cells no problem in my XXXT. I think you could run the lehner 5300 on the 7020. My 7018 does cog mildly though at low speeds. Other than...

The already mentioned "loose" and "lose" is the one I most commonly see.
To go along with that debacle:) is the ever famous "since" and "sense" error.
Those loose/lose thing drives me nuts...

RE: Adrian Page 1/4 Scale Gee Bee--to heavy to fly

It should fly...the trick will be landing because you won't be able to get very slow...

I'll be putting a gasser on mine for nose weight. I should weigh the plane in the bones and see...

RE: Phoenix Models Sukhoi SU-31 CG and engine Q's

I balanced mine at 102mm. It still does pretty decent flatspins. Not sure about the nose weight. Some have them..some don't...mine doesn't.
That' s a fine repair job you did...looks very sharp.
