RE: Turnigy 1/16 buggy unboxing review

Thanks for the info. I found another 2200 mah battery that's only 101mm long, so getting that 1mm to fit wouldn't be a huge problem.

I think I'm going to pass on the car for now. I'm extremely...

RE: Official Tamiya FF-03 Thread

I have an FF03 Pro with a Castle 5700kv motor in it. Only drove it for 5 minutes though because my set screw on the pinion backed out and I stripped the spur and pinion...

RE: $500 Budget to get back into RC

A Slash 4x4 would be cool actually because you can still race with it and it's supposed to be a decent basher.

Also, become a Tower Super Saver member. It costs $10/year and you will save $60...

RE: Blitz Spur wobble

I ordered the upgraded aluminum slipper pad carrier set. I hope that will eliminate the wobbles.

RE: Blitz Spur wobble

Hmm, the top shaft of the tranny looks straight though... everything looks straight until I put the spring on and tighten the locknut on. Then everything becomes screwy and the top shaft looks...

Blitz Spur wobble

I ended up stripping my spur on my Blitz, so I replaced the spur, and stuck the old slipper pads back onto the spur. The instruction manual says to tighten the nut down all the way, then back out by...

Switching from MD2 to MD1?

Hi guys,

I'm considering buying a Blade MSR. So far, I've had only 1 day of flying experience; flying mCX's at my friend's house. I got pretty good with the mCX and was able to somewhat fly the...

RE: Spektrum DX5e with SR300?

Ok, thanks. I figured as much.

However, do you know if I can use an airplane receiver in my car? I know that people use airplane radios in crawlers, I just don't know how they do it.

RE: Official Traxxas 1/16 Summit VXL

I really like this truck, because I was considering the MERV before, but didn't like how it didn't have a lot of ground clearance. This solves that issue. I just have one question:

Is the servo...

RE: I think everyone should own...

Yeah but I don't run nitros. Electric cars aren't too expensive, it's the lipos and the brushless system that'll kill your wallet.

RE: I think everyone should own...

I really would love a 1/8 scale truggy, but electric 1/8 stuff is so expensive.:(

RE: Thinking about a Kyosho DBX VE

Yeah, that's why I don't want to use the 3S lipo, because of so many issues with people's ESC's blowing up.

Thanks for the complicated math!:D

However, isn't a 2S battery rated...

RE: I Just Can't Do It!!!

I got my Blitz + Sidewinder 5700 kv system for $290, plus another $90 for a lipo charger and two 2S 30C 4000 mah hardcase batteries. I also get about 30 minutes of run time per pack if I'm not...

Thinking about a Kyosho DBX VE

So, for my next RC, I'm thinking about the Kyosho DBX VE, because it comes with a brushless system, and is 4WD, and just looks plain awesome. I have a few questions though.

I have some 2S 30C...

RE: Official HPI Blitz Thread!!

Well, today with the Blitz was pretty fun, but I have some complaints.

I went to bash the car at my old high school, and I was amazed at how strong this truck is. I took off from a set of stairs...

I dunno, I really like it and always have liked belt drives, but if it really sucks then I don't want one.

RE: which short course?

I think Tower has free shipping right now.

Congrats on the truck, though! I was also in the same situation, bug I ended up with a Blitz. Cant beat a Blitz and Sidewinder 5700kv for $290 shipped!

RE: Evader DT vs SC10 vs Mini Trophy?

Well the Blitz was tempting me too much, so I took it out tonight because it was pretty cold, and kept my eye on the motor temps at all times. It never got past slightly warm, so for now I'm good to...

RE: Lipo battery question

Yeah, for the second battery I ended up cutting the wires one at a time so that one was fine.

By the way, even though I've searched around for this stuff, after running down my lipo in my car,...
