rcairplanenut - What's the name of that sleek looking blue plane? How does it fly?

Here's mine, it's called the Avanti:

RE: gear drawings

Joe, I know a few that replied to this thread are looking to contact Doss. You may want to ask them.

I've seen your scale prop drive and I'm extremely impressed. Do you think it would be...

RE: Re: gear drawings

Any updates guys? If this truly is the most detailed mustang made, then it's a shame that it's support is essentially dead. Surly everyone here could get it going again...right?

RE: P40 exaust stacks

SDCrashmaster - How tuff is this stuff? I see you've used it to make some exquisite landing gear, but how will they hold up to the harder than normal landing?

RE: K&B Twist 61

I have been running one of these for over a year now. In my personal opinion, the twister with the tuned pipe is slightly stronger than the O.S. 61 FX. Right from the box this thing ran perfectly. It...

RE: ZDZ 60 in a Ziroli Stuka??

I'm probably missing something here. If it does require nose weight, and the plane weighs the same or less then if you put a G-62 in it, then why would this help the nose break off?

I'm not...

RE: Blue angles in red planes?

Actually PA-28, using spellcheck wouldn't do much good since "ANGLES" is a word too. duh.

RE: which airbrush setup should i get.

For about $20 more, you can get the Cadillac brand of airbrushes, an Iwata. I haven't used one, but I've heard great things about the Iwata Eclipse. I'm actually going to be buying one shortly. Check...

RE: Desires for a first warbird

I've never flown one, but it sounds like a Ziroli Stuka would fit the ticket. The nice thing about the Stuka is that you don't have to buy $300 in retracts.

Pattern the way it used to be??

Here's my Avanti. It was designed in 1974. Very stable, very fast, and very fun.

My new airplane! *test flight...flutter*

Well, I got the aileron issue worked out. Now you can literally pick up the plane by the alierons without them moving a nano-inch :D

The linkage was about 1" deep and CA'ed into the aileron. Now...

My new airplane! *test flight...flutter*

Well the test flight was today. It took off in about 10ft, man this thing is fast. I throttled it back to about 1/2 and was starting to get the feel of things. Then I decided to open it up and heard...

My new airplane! *test flight...flutter*

Well, I wasn't sure where to put this because it's a Scratch-built, Vintage, pattern ship.

I started this project when I was about 14 from a set of plans I bought from RCM. With some help from my...

Help- Can You Identify This Jet?

Guys, it's not a T-33, F-80, T-38, F-100, or F-94. It's a T-1A Seastar, or T2V-1 Seastar.

That canopy frame is entirely wrong for it to be a T-33, or F-80. If you look at the Seastars frame, it's...

Yak-3 Construction

I agree with the above statement. Yak-3's are real hotrods. I would make this baby flat-out scream :D Good luck with your project.

Is this too much power?

Ok well thanks for the advice guys. I guess I'll go for a .46 Tower, and if it's not enough power I have a Uproar kit that it can go on :D
