RE: Weak Tail Rotor Response (G90, SA)

Interesting. I'm not getting that performance out of the G90. I'm mild in 3D which is also an issue but I'm not getting the level you speak of either. I have the electonic adjusment set in through...

RE: Weak Tail Rotor Response (G90, SA)

Well it sounds pretty clear that I have a setup issue. I'll check again and pay close attention to the gyro setting as well. What percentage are you running? I think I'm at 65%.

I'll double...

RE: Weak Tail Rotor Response (G90, SA)

I'm refering to the piro rate. I've continually reduced the gyro gain but its not cutting it as best I can determine. Has anyone ever looked into the larger tail blades? I was thinking that would...

Weak Tail Rotor Response (G90, SA)

So I've got a T-Rex SA with a DX-6 and a G90 gyro. I'm not a big fan of the gyro which I've already disscussed on the forum (401 will be arriving soon). My question concerns tail rotor response. I...

RE: Eflight G90 Gyro - Me or it?

Thanks for the notes. I'll look into the pitch and throttle curves. I'm pretty sure I've got the throttle going 100% in either direction. The pitch curve may not be full. I also have the Expo up...

RE: DX-6 Switches

I think I might be ok actually. The only other screwy switch location I have is for the Standard Rate vs HH for the gyro. That's not much of a deal though as I pretty much never fly in standard...

RE: DX-6 Switches

Good information. I assumed the CP had standard locations because they were not changable (electronically). I'm going to do what you said on the CP concerning the idle up location. So I presume...

Eflight G90 Gyro - Me or it?

So I have a relatively new T-Rex SA. It's working quite well. My only complaint it about the tail stability. I had a lot of trouble setting it up with my DX-6 transmitter but with some help from...

DX-6 Switches

Sadly I crashed my T-Rex today, all-be-it, not too bad. I was flying my CP first and then went to the Rex. My CP has the idle up switch on the upper right but I have not been able to assign the...

RE: UP AND DOWN

I suppose throttle curve could be involved in the solution. Is it happening in Stunt or Normal Mode or both? I had an issue when I first got the T-Rex because I put the throttle with a min stick of...

RE: Took The Rex Plunge

I'm not sure where you're figuring the parts are cheaper on the T-Rex than the CP (unless I missunderstood). I just barrelled her into the ground and it cost me $300 to repair (bought a new heli all...

RE: gyros for digital servos

In reponse to some of the comments and questions. I've got a T-RexSA with a DX-6. I also have the Eflight G90 gyro and digital servo's (JR DS285's and for the Tail a DS3400G). I'm relatively new...

RE: T Rex Rant!

I'm glad I ran into this post. I just upgraded to a T-Rex SA from a Blade so I'm still a little green on the new level of control and power. It's reasonably cold here in CT. I've was planning to...

RE: E-FLIGHT BLADE CP

The EF Blade CP is definitely a good value. Concerning the wood blades comment and not being durable, they sell some real nice plastic blades (I forget the brand). They are nearly indestructable. ...

RE: One way main shaft has switch direction???

Conclusion: Although it appeared that the one way bearing was working in the opposite direction it was not entirely the case. Once my expert held the main gear and was able to turn the blades he...

RE: One way main shaft has switch direction???

I just triple checked everything including the screw mentioned. As best I can determine a troll came and switch the one way gear/bearing to the opposite direction. I'm dumbfounded, but am heading...

RE: One way main shaft has switch direction???

When I get home tonight I'm going to do another full check in case I'm missing something, but as far as I could tell the other night, it flat out appeared to change its operating direction. It seems...

RE: One way main shaft has switch direction???

I think my thought process is good, because if you increase the throttle now it just spins the motor, trying to move them in the correct direction, but it just spins the 'clutch' or freewheel system...

RE: One way main shaft has switch direction???

Thanks for the response. That was definitely not what I wanted to hear, I hope its not broke. I don't think it was installed wrong because it came pre-assembled and I've flown it a number of times....

RE: Trex EF G90 w/DX6. I'm lost on settings.

Thank you very much for your comments. I'll try it as soon fix the issue that I have. It seems relatively straight forward. The autorotation one-way gear has flipped to the opposite direction! ...

One way main shaft has switch direction???

I'm new to helicopters and I've just graduated to a Trex after flying a couple Blade CP's. I was messing with my gyro when I hit a dual rate switch and the head spooled up (clocking me in the hand...

Trex EF G90 w/DX6. I'm lost on settings.

First of all I just signed up because I'm pretty new at this level of helicopter. I just graduated from a few Blade CP's (which were markedly simpler) and now I've got:

TRex SA
3550kv Motor
