I dont have the turbine yet but I do have the Dragon my first turbine plane. I do have the balsa version but weight out of the box is 8.8kg or 19 1/2 pound so I am figuring around 26...

Keeps the needle out of the way and safe in a spill
Made with 1.5mm angle alluminium, also dont need to keep the motor so rich for the start compared to a high mounted...

I have always used stainless steel lock wire to hold the pipe on and so does every one else just the wire may change but the method stays the same.
Dont use Nitro it is an FAI engine made for FAI...
