Not so weird to me. In larger cities, they have small hobby shops that sell chinese knock-offs. It just basically sounds like he needs to find a different/larger hobby shop.

If you are going with a CX2 or the CX3, I would recommend the CX2. The CX3 has a heading lock gyro on it. Once you get it moving, you will have to counter-act the forward motion to make it stop.

Then I stumbled on THIS.

I agree. The OS .18 TZ is a monster. The few people I know that put it in their MT2 had to upgrade their entire drivetrain because this engine is a monster.

The best way to do this is to start your engine and let it get warm. The metal will expand. Drive it for awhile then tighten in down when it is warm/hot.
