RE: World Engines Expert

I am no "expert" about Expert.

But as for other brands I am more familiar with...

FM is NOT all narrow band. Before the late 80's lots of FM radios were produced that were "wide".

The...

RE: 10X users switching to 9303?

I might have been the guy at the other thread....

I prefer the 9303 over the 10X for several reasons...

-Lighter

-Better feel for short fingers

-30 model memories (I don't need...

RE: PPM, PCM, Lockout & Failsafe

That is not any kind of useful real world test. Two transmitters on the same channel will always result in terrible loss of control, PCM, PPM, etc.

There is some validity to this whole IPD, PPM...

RE: PPM, PCM, Lockout & Failsafe

The PCM lockout problems were with old 256 PCM. This was over 20 years ago. Lockout problems went away with 512 PCM (G-series, or ZPCM) and the later 1024 SPCM. If a modern PCM receiver "locks out" a...

RE: JR radio questions

Make sure to get a JR charger for it. The polarity is opposite of everyone else's. If you use the wrong one you damage the radio.

JRPC222 is the part number I think...saw it in an old catalog....

RE: JR Rx & Hitec Tx

jr and hitec do have a different channel order. No big deal, just swap the connections around at the receiver until the servos move with the corresponding imputs at the radio.

RE: JR XP783 - Malfunction

You have a blown fuse. You can see it and test it by removing the moule and looking down into the radio. To properly replace it, you must remove the battery, 6 case screws and seperate the halves of...

RE: How to verify transmitter frequency??

Depending on brand and other factors, what you see may be different from one transmitter to another. If the radio is newer, your best bet is send it back to the guys who made it. If not, you must...

RE: JR 9303 or JR 10X

I own both the 10X and the 9303 now. I am selling my 10X. The 9303 is much more useful in most occaisions. I reccomend the 9303 Heli with 8311 servos. These servos are better than the 8231's that...

RE: jr transmitter problem

As you said, you ran your battery way down by leaving it on. When you connected it to the charger, the voltage/potential was very different from that of the battery's. This caused a surge, which blew...

RE: JR 6102 Air or Heli - difference?

The only diffenece on Air vs heli with the 6102 is the 5 servos vs. 4 servos.

Of course there are options as to PPM or PCM, or what kind or servos you get.

You can also get a 6102 glider...

RE: AM vs FM

The advantage that 75 mHz has over 27 is that the 27 mHz band is noisy. 27 tends to have more interference problems and less range as a result.

A big source of trouble is the CB'ers at 26 mHz....

RE: JR XP6102 and which micro servos?

You can order the 6102 with 241 micro servos and the R610UL micro receiver as a package deal. Don't know the part# or price, but I ave seen ads for it in the hobby mags and on ad banners here at RCU.

RE: 955

Actually, it still could be a vibration sensitivity problem, and the folks at JR will surely find it if it is. The IF filter is constructed of little ceramic wafers. They can get cracked or slip and...

If the DSC works, then the decode and regulation sections are ok. The problem is in the receiving section.

In the case of receiver failure or intermittant recevier failure, the crystal or the...

Wrong. I have a Sanyo adding machine that uses the same center-pin-negative plug. I have seen phones, calculators and other gizmos that used the same polarity.

Positive center pin is much more...

RE: JR 9303 Transmitter

My understanding is that the Graupner version shares the same external hardware, with the 9X/9303, but its computer is totally different.

I have no idea about ZPCM. I doubt JR will ever tell us...

RE: Who fixes JR 652 ?

I can tell you from personal experiance that Horizon does a good job at a reasonable price. The 652 is one of the better mid-level radios ever made and worth the trouble and price for repair.
Good...

RE: JR 10X opened diode on battery pack board??

You can do whatever you want with your own equipment and re-engineer it however you like. But it's at your own risk. Good luck.

I have no use for NiMh in a transmitter. The voltage is too high...

RE: How strong Rx battery to use in airplane equipped with 4 digital servos?

I downloaded and read the actual Sanyo battery instructions once. About thirty pages worth of them. Sanyo Cadnica batteries are indeed supposed to be "formed" at 1/10 capacity for 20-24 hours. It is...

RE: How strong Rx battery to use in airplane equipped with 4 digital servos?

That is interesting. Most RC batteries I have seen are Sanyo Cadnica. I wonder if Sony batteries come pre"formed"? I wonder what thier instructions say? Is their a website?
