Use any open channel, or if nothing is open, use a "Y" connector and plug it into any channel you wish. Normally the battery (on an electric model) plugs into your throttle channel via the ESC plug.

I've never had AC in my garage and the planes hang from the ceiling out there all year 'round. btw, for 30+ years I lived on the edge of the Mojave Desert, so it got pretty toasty in the Summer.
