RE: MY MODIFIED HAVOC HELI FLYBAR! W/PICS

My mistake. I thought you guys were looking for a better chopper that didn't need any tweeks. But if you're in love with Alexander and the Havoc, have at it. Enjoy your 3-4 minute flight times and...

RE: MY MODIFIED HAVOC HELI FLYBAR! W/PICS

crazychris,
This thread of your mods is proving my point. If you make a change or improvement, no matter how minor (as long as it's not obvious to someone skilled in the art) to your heli you can...

RE: MY MODIFIED HAVOC HELI FLYBAR! W/PICS

I've pretty much given up on finding exactly what Silverlit/Alexander claim has been copied. If they don't have the proper patent protection and someone builds a similar product, that's their...

RE: MUST SEE! WILD HAVOC W/ DUAL UPPER ROTORS

CC,
Since I believe the sole purpose of the weighted flybar is to act as a self leveling gyroscope, how stable is this guy with no counterweights?
While you're in the research and...

RE: MY MODIFIED HAVOC HELI FLYBAR! W/PICS

mb . . .
It's just that I was blown away by the flight time and speed of the MicroGear series and the way the new Hughes 300 was designed. Maybe I just got good ones. After dissecting the Havoc...

RE: MY MODIFIED HAVOC HELI FLYBAR! W/PICS

I respect your enthusiasm. My point is, if we all analyse these products for what they are and feedback gets to the proper source, the manufacturers will be forced to produce better products. I just...

RE: MY MODIFIED HAVOC HELI FLYBAR! W/PICS

So it appears this mod is for asthetic puposes only? I appreciate your effort in trying to re-engineer the product. The output shaft wobble is inherent in the present design of the Havoc/Picoo due to...

RE: What's the best $50-70 micro helicopter

This is the best one and you'll have $28.01 in change from your $50 bill.

RE: MicroGear $21, Micro Dragonfly Thread (5" Micro-Heli)

jaysalez,
I see you are offering these for $25.99 and your webpage states you ship everything free (in the upper left). But your policy page says shipping charges are never refunded. Is there a...

RE: My Havoc Heli review vs. MicroGear Heli

Try this:
Give it full throttle and full LEFT rudder until it's about 5 ft. in the air (it'll be spinning CCW)
Start stabbing the RIGHT trim button until it stops spinning.
If this doesn't work...

RE: HELP! My PicooZ is Out of Control...

The tail rotor epoxy upgrade is about the only thing I've needed to use out of the "toolbox". The bare stock tail rotor IS the weak link in the system. Guess that's why they supply you with one spare...

RE: Havoc Heli Question

Yes, the Havoc is sold at Walmart.
They aren't bending the fuselage foam. They are twisting the tailboom so the tail rotor motor thrust line is angled down thereby causing the tail to raise thereby...

RE: My Havoc Heli review vs. MicroGear Heli

marc. . . .
Are you stabbing the right trim multiple times (as many as 10) on a full charge, during takeoff? This should work. If not, it sounds like your tail rotor is jammed up against the...

RE: MicroGear $21, Micro Dragonfly Thread (5" Micro-Heli)

F.Y.I.
Be warned, Fry's return department CAN have an attitude, so proceed at your own peril. I think I saw a thread on some board about return experiences at Fry's. I witnessed an "almost...

RE: Anyone know anything about this heli?

This is DEFINITELY a slight of hand marketing strategy, or maybe something got lost in the Chinese translation. Gotta admit it had me going there for a minute! I guess it technically is a 3 channel...

RE: PiccoZ Micro R/C heli

I haven't seen this version but would like to know who is supplying it. It appears to have the same length tailboom and strut as the Havoc. The mainframe looks to be Havoc style but the canopy seems...

The MicroGear Mini Dragonfly is on sale until next Wednesday at Fry's for $21.99

RE: HAVOC HELI--not working :( :( plz help

Suggestions:
Place it in your parts bin, chalk it up to experience, and then buy any MicroGear heli if you want longer flight times. (2-3X)

RE: Air Hogs Havoc Heli

It is very promising and a good little bird, but the Ebay price is way too high. Get it at Fry's for $21 and then if you have to return it there is no outrageous shipping.

RE: MicroGear, Hughes 300, 'Fairy' Thread (5" Micro-Heli)

I like to do hot laps with my Havoc since it is designed to turn right, but this little guy does the hot laps in both directions.
Let us know what kind of discount Fry's gives to its employees....
