RE: Can I use my Futaba 7C plane Tx to fly a heli?

I think you might be able to on a Raptor. I think they have a four point setup with one cyclic servo. You wouldn't be able to on a eCCPM machine, like a Blade 400.

RE: Are people really this stupid?

Fault, fault, fault.... ***

I thought we were talking about stupidity, not fault.

One aspect of stupidity is unnecessarily putting your survival in question. Great, after you're dead or...

RE: What have I done??

I don't completely understand this fascination with moving to a trex. I mean, it's a nice little heli, but it's not God's gift to the hobby. You need to concentrate on the heli you have now and learn...

RE: Are people really this stupid?

Yup, they are. But it all depends on the context. I know people who look at certain aspects of my life and think I'm dumber than a rock.

Oh well. :D

And pictures won't help. Stupid people...

RE: so. how high is a "mistake"?

Every time I start down the "mistake" chain:
I alway wish for more altitude
They're always measured in "Oh $^%t's per second" :D

RE: so. how high is a "mistake"?

I believe a 'mistake' is 10 foot high. At least that's what I tell myself

RE: Blade 400 or Mini Titan

If you're just starting out, with no existing radio or electronics, then the 400 is the way to go. Especially if the LHS stocks the parts!

RE: Apply cog on new shaft!!

On press fit stuff, reuse is not a good idea, the metal is stretched and deformed when installed the first time. Especially for something as inexpensive as a pinion gear. Do yourself a favor and just...

RE: XHELI.com is bad business

Nope, that's why you hear "your call may be monitored for ...".

I've spent 30 years in computer systems, most of that in operations and client support. And a professional is a professional,...

RE: XHELI.com is bad business

Nope, a professional customer service organization is driven by company policies and procedures, not the actions of the client. An angry client gets the same treatment and same resolution as a brown...

RE: new to the heli thing

No, but it's cheaper that way.

Oh yes, and get as large as you can...
