RE: axe EZ.. bigger lipo????

Hello fellow Axe EZ pilots! I've had my Axe EZ for about a week now and I'm really impressed. I was able to trim and hover well on the first flight! I've been flying exclusively in my garage and...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

A 3200 Lipo with Brushless should give you more time than that...don't you think? My 4250 gives me at least 30 minutes on MM5700, and that's hard throttle most of the time.

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

I agree with NitroStar on the hop-ups. I did several hop-ups on mine, but I think the slipper is the main thing if you're going to be going brushless and lipo. I put a Mamba Max 5700 in mine and...

RE: Problems Charging New Reedy Lipo

Just an update...when I connected it to the Hyperion just to let it balance...nothing. Tried charging it again, but same thing as before. I did notice that it said "Balancer not connected" before...

RE: Problems Charging New Reedy Lipo

I did each lead separately so as not to cross short them. I think it may just be a DOA battery. I'll hook it up to the Hyperion tonight and see if the balancer (w/o charging) will tell me anything.

Problems Charging New Reedy Lipo

I ordered one of the Associated Reedy 3200mAh LiPo batteries from Tower Hobbies (Reedy Lipo). I have a Hyperion 0606i Charger that works great on my three other Hyperion Lipos, and various NiMH...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Excellent!! All I can say! I got the Airtronics MX-3FHSS radio, MM5700, Tamiya Swaybars/Front One-way/Slipper/FR Universal Shafts all installed in the Yellow Durga last night.

I popped in a...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Well, I'm still waiting on the electronics and Hop-Ups to come in from Tower, but I was able to get the body painted and decals applied. Here's some photos and the whole Fleet...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

NitroStar:

The Spacer Set is #53539 found here (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDEB4) and I'm not exactly sure what they are for. I think NautiCar's build is where I saw them...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

I received my stock Durga from Tower yesterday afternoon, and assembled it in about 5.5 hours total (less electronics and painting). I used RCScrewz Stainless Steel Hex Heads throughout (had a bunch...

RE: Looking for a good jumping Tamiya to build

No worries rymansl2! I think we're both looking for the same thing...a kit version of a basher stadium truck. But I want one that can handle the Mamba and Lipo. I may just have to break down and...

RE: Looking for a good jumping Tamiya to build

Any thoughts on the Tamiya F-150 Stadium Truck or the DT-02 MS Buggy?

Looking for a good jumping Tamiya to build

I currently have a Traxxas XL-5 Stampede (RPM-ed out), a Traxxas XL-5 Rustler (Mambafied, Lipoed, RPMed, Aluminumed and VXLed) and a Traxxas VXL Bandit (stock). My son (8 years old) and I usually...

RE: Mama Max 5700kv on Durga?

Phelansa:

Is your 3S 5350 Lipo the Hyperion Litestorm LX battery? If so I have one of them and love it, but I've been putting off getting a Dark Impact because it looks like it will only take a...

RE: Looking for a new RC "Kit"

After more research today, I'm leaning towards the Durga. It looks like it can use a lot of the same hop-ups as the 501x, can handle the MM5700, and has enough room for a 2S 4350maH lipo. If I...

RE: Looking for a new RC "Kit"

I'm thinking more about a 4WD kit. Also, why would the DF02 be more durable than the DB01 or DF03?

RE: Another Tamiya Durga Build

What kind of tapping tool do you use for the pre-tap? Also, where did you order your Durga kit?

Looking for a new RC "Kit"

I grew up with the old Tamiya RC cars such as the Hornet, Brat and Wild Willy. About a year ago I got back into RC off-road with a Traxxas Stampede XL-5 for my 8-year old son, and since then have...
