RE: Super Tiger 3250 on gas

Mike,
You can buy a rare earth magnet at Radio Shack and they work great. Just hook up your ignition and pass the magnet under the pick-up, it will only fire with one side of the magnet. Make...

RE: another darn ryobi post (ryobi performance modification, analysis and comparison)

Combatpilot,
After changing to a larger carb in test 6 did you notice a difference in the idle? Each time I've tried to put a larger carb on a stock Ryobi my idle was terrible and the rpm needed...

RE: New SV Gassers

I agree with Lotech that the SV will easily fly a 10 pound plane. I have one in the Stearman PT-17 at 14.5 pounds and it flies fine. I dont get near the RPMs out of it as him though. With a 15X8...

RE: 28 & 31 cc Ryobi

Cutarug,
I may be wrong but im pretty sure the 28 and 31cc engines have different cooling fins at the spark plug. The 28s have either one or two cooling fins that are much smaller than the others....

RE: weedeater/chainsaw 39cc for free, where to start?

The second part is correct. Unless you are using something different, the carb you have has a fuel pump in it. I''ll need to go back through the thread and make sure you are using a normal set up...

RE: weedeater/chainsaw 39cc for free, where to start?

I''m not sure I follow what you did but, you do need to have the tank vented so that line needs to stay open. You do need to plug the hose that goes into the carb where (i assume) your primer bulb...

RE: weedeater/chainsaw 39cc for free, where to start?

Fozjared,
You can certainly run a bolt through a starter cone and chuck it up in your drill. I''ve always found that it feels a bit ackward though, its not as easy to apply straight pressure on...

RE: Elect. ignition for Poulan 25cc?

Nitro Joe
I've been running mine on 6V, the owners manual (term manual used very loosely here) states to make sure the voltage isn't below 5.5V. It doesnt state what will happen if it falls below...

RE: Elect. ignition for Poulan 25cc?

I wanted the answer to that also so I brought my timing light to the field yesterday but it got too windy so I gave up. I planned on trying the light tonight after work. Hopefully I'll be able to...

RE: Elect. ignition for Poulan 25cc?

Jim,
Im using a 5 cell 2100 mah. There are no instructions with the unit. On the actual ignition box it just says 6 volts. I know alot of the units use 4.8-6V but i didnt try a 4 cell. I'll try...

RE: Elect. ignition for Poulan 25cc?

Jim,
I have a couple of those ignitions on Ryobis, you'll be pleased. I use the 1/8th inch rare earth magnets from Radio Shack. It does matter which way the magnet is mounted. Just hook up your...
