the engine isn't terribly compressed like the buggy engines I"m used to, hopefully the pull starter lasts a while for me before I make the switch.  thanks for all the help guys!

Looked through tower hobbies site and I found backplate for os 18tz and cvr. Which one do I need and what size belt would be appropriate?

Good idea on the belt start. Any part #s for that backplate and what size belt would be ideal for it? What's the smallest battery I could use for a starter? I don't want to lug around a car battery...
