RE: Need some advice!

Lover,

Add some lead to the nose. You're wing loading will go up, but I think with a triplane canard autogyro, it won't be a problem.

RE: Need some advice!

Lover,

Hmm. You might want to look into thrust vectoring then. It's not as complicated and I think it will increase manueverability.

RE: Need some advice!

Lover,

How big is this aircraft going to be?

Do you have dimensions of this thing? The canard seems large compared to the wings.

RE: Need some advice!

It might work. What are you going to build it out of? I'd look into using some active composites for the wings. They would be light and you could use piezoelectric actuators to induce wing warping...

RE: Need some advice!

You're going to need quite a few aileron servos. I hope you can get them cheap in Uruguay

RE: Need some advice!

Do you have any rough sketches of what you have in mind? If you do, post them and we can go from there.

Flyinrazrback-

Just curious, do you have any pictures of the delaminated Prince Props? I ask because Prince makes full scale props and I believe they have military contracts and also make large...

RE: Composite Arf 3.1 Super Extra

Hey guys! Thought I'd chime in.

For those that haven't seen my previous posts, the setup is as follows:
8611's everywhere...2 per aileron, 1 per elevator half, 3 on the rudder.
Hitec...

RE: more pics

Thanks Dick. I'm actually using the JMB cannisters.

I've got a Fuchs 30x12 sitting here too that I'll probably try. The engine responds very well with the 32" though.

RE: Finally Ready

160 Champion. Fuel, spark, one flip, and this beast came to life. I'm surprised at the power out of the box. I can't wait to get it broken in.

Jonathan,

To figure out the length of the standoffs and offset of the engine, I made a little calculator in Excel. I posted it here:...

RE: more pics

I am using one per elevator. You're the second person to ask me about my servo setup, so I'll post a description here.

Ailerons: (2) 8611's per aileron, one matchbox per wing.
Rudder: (3)...

John,

No, there are not dimples. The instructions give exact dimensions for mounting holes for the DA and are really straight forward. Putting the ZDZ on is a little more work, but I think...

Engine Mounted

Making slow progress. Still hoping to fly it in about 2 weeks...

My father (builder) just got the ZDZ 160 mounted and sent me the pic. I can't wait to fire it up.
