When I installed my 18CV into my RS4 3, the recoil starter interfered with the rear diff casing if I remember correctly. I took the barbarian route and cut off the plastic of the diff casing to get...

I see the chassis layout similarities you're talking about. According to HPI, this car was designed in Japan, all parts were made there, and they're not shared with any other cars. Awesome, right?...
