RE: Stampede Aluminum Idler Gear

It's not necessary. Keep both gears metal and use grease between the teeth and you're fine.

You can read about it here:

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

Here's a photo of the pack I had, which I sent back if anyone was wondering

You can see how it's crooked on the top. The bottom was a bit crooked too. This made it impossible to fit it in the...

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

Well that's weird, I thought I was getting an exchange from All Battery. Instead they send $32.46 back to my credit card. Which I guess is fine. Just that I wasted $7.85 on shipping, and another...

RE: Who has their VXL???

Well some people seem hell bent on turning people away from Traxxas, even taking aim at products before they're out in the market.

I'll be getting one of these but I still have two Titan motors...

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD

It happened to my Titan motor. I ordered a new one, installed it, broke it in, and it works like brand new(cause it is brand new). I got another Titan waiting its turn. After that third one, I may...

RE: Genuine Deans--how important?

I never heard of knock off ones. The original deans aren't too pricey so I go with those.

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

I PM'ed you. I didn't get the name of the person on the phone. It was a female and I called at 4:42pm today Monday July 16

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

Update on my battery pack situation. I called All-Battery's number 408 739 2833 and explained the problem. The person said if I exchange, the new pack will probably be the same although I'm not sure...

RE: E-Maxx in Iraq

What do you mean by that? You mean if Traxxas paid the US army to have their brand name in the war?

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

I got my 7-cell battery pack in the mail today from all-battery.com but the black plastic braces on the wire end is crooked. It won't fit in my Stampede chassis like my GP packs from Radio Shack...

RE: Venom's huge MAH battery...Worth it??

Better to get two 4200 or 4500 mAh packs for about that same total price. You'll get more run time from the two packs combined and changing packs gives the motor a chance to cool down.

RE: new battery question

Are you using a peak charger that has an LCD panel that displays the progress? Which charger are you using?

I use a Duratrax Piranha Digital Peak charger and if I charge a pack half way, unplug...

RE: should i but the new traxxas bandit

I'm not sure, I don't have any experience with either one. I just know that the Rustler has a larger user base.

Then again the Bandit does have parts support as well and if you got that one, you...

RE: should i but the new traxxas bandit

I think it's a sure bet more people have Rustlers than Bandits. It will handle more varying terrain than the Bandit and since it's sold more, by theory there will be more parts support for it versus...

RE: Looking for a cheap Off-Road Electric buggy/truck

If you mean the whole truck set yeah I'd avoid no-name brands as well. In this case there is an advantage to going with what lots of people have. It's what brings the parts support.

RE: Looking for a cheap Off-Road Electric buggy/truck

The Masher 2000 tires are a top pick for the Stampede. They're taller so they give the truck a bit more clearance. They're softer so they grip the ground better. They grip enough to make my Stampede...

RE: which should i get

So basically they made the Wheelie King to just do wheelies and not much else? Weird.

RE: Looking for a cheap Off-Road Electric buggy/truck

Ya the adjustment is on the holes on the arms. Right now I use RPM arms and the front ones have two holes to choose from, and the rear has three so there is a middle one on those. I think the stock...

RE: any 1/6 scale rc cars out there?

Ya I was saying they look more like racer level, not just hobby grade. If SAMURAIADAM17 can find anything like those and is willing to pay for it, go for it. But for the price it will probably cost,...

RE: any 1/6 scale rc cars out there?

Man you seem fixated on the 1/6 scale thing. Those look like not just hobby grade, but racer level RC's. You may have to go that route and end up paying more.

RE: Looking for a cheap Off-Road Electric buggy/truck

With a Stampede if you use the stock wheels it comes with on the lowest stance(shocks attached on the outermost holes on the arms), it won't roll over as easily. On really smooth pavement it won't....

RE: any 1/6 scale rc cars out there?

How about if you take a Stampede and widen the stance of the wheels, then lengthen it until it resembles a 1/6 sized RC. Then make a 1/6 body cover fit on it?

RE: any 1/6 scale rc cars out there?

Well let's say a company like Traxxas or Associated made one. Are enough people gonna buy one as an RTR or kit? It may take off if HPI made an electric version of their Baja model. I came across a...

RE: any 1/6 scale rc cars out there?

Maybe there isn't much demand for a 1/6 scale electric car. I've seen a 1/8 scale truggy type of RC with a dual bushless motor set up. But not a 1/6 scale. Either 1/6 would be kinda big and heavy...
