asphalt tires

What are people running for semi-rough paved areas. I have been burning through stock TC4 tires in about 6 runs. It's mostly going to be bashing and a little neighborhood racing. Has anyone tried the...

RE: Belt drive or drive shaft?

The RS4 belt design always sucked up small rocks in between the rear belt and the shock tower when driving on parking lots. This is much less of an issue on carpet.

RE: SAID BOLINK SPORT 91 BUT I SAY NO WAY..HELP ID PLEASE

What are you trying to find out? You already found it's a Predator chassis. Some of the early Associated 10L parts should fit (steering and r. axle). The bolink cars had horrible steering issues. I...

RE: Parkzone Typhoon 3D ?

I would first check to see if one wingtip is actually heavy. If it is put a small finish nail in the wingtip. cut the nail until it balances then push way in. I would then try putting one of the...

RE: Parkzone Typhoon 3D ?

I have recently set up a Typhoon for student pilot. He bought it before he asked for advice on which electric to buy. After we flew this thing I think he made a great choice and it flies smoother and...

RE: Check it Out - New Bipe !!!

I Had a similar yaw problem with my Raptor bipe. Aileron Diff. of less than 20% made a big improvement. You might try replacing the 9gram servo with 2 of the 6gram servos. I'm also a heavy builder...

RE: Zenoah 22.5 from RedMax Recipacator

I think I have the 22.5 engine which came from either a string trimmer or recipicator. The lower shaft was gone before I got it. I haven't stripped it down fully yet as I have been running it in the...

RE: Zenoah 22.5 from RedMax Recipacator

How did this conversion end up? I have one of these engines that was given to me that came with a single needle barrel type carb (WY?). Is this engine worth flying / The redmax case says G2K.

RE: Review for Zenoah G-26 in FlyRc

I guess it sounds like 3D prop hanging would be out for me with a G26. I would be ok with old school aerobatics I guess as I have that covered with my Funtana. Is there anything out there in the sub...

RE: Review for Zenoah G-26 in FlyRc

I picked up a Midwest cap 232 recently which i'm told should weigh around 15 lbs ready to fly. Would a G26 fly this plane?

RE: help seting up a csm g400 gyro

Set the radio to GY mode. set one side of a switch to 70% normal mode and one side to 70% HH mode then go through the setup routine per manual. you might need to set the gain up to a higher number to...

Lexan canopys?

I don't think you can vacuform a fully rounded canopy. you could do a 2piece what the pilot would have to peice it together. Sounds like more pain than it's worth, eh?

Heli pilots/mentors in S.E. Mass?

There is a lot heli flying at the Lazy loopers field in Wrentham, Ma. you could stop by the field on most weekends and find heli pilots.
I'm too far away to be of much help even though I used to...

I need help!! OS50SX-H trouble.

Don't change the muffler, it works great with the OS50. The OS50 has a tough break-in period that you have to work through. I would start by changing the glo plug if there is any white fuzz on the...

Reciever question

Some people have claimed ch20 can pick up an glitch from one of the TV channels. (CH4?) so test it well before flying in a heli.

Fury CG

Sims...

I have run G2 on a 433 celeron before I built my new system so I would guess the AMD 500 should cover it. G2 likes a decent video card so I would guess that would be the problem area. Of course a...

Quick 15

I would be the fist guy with a big block engine in that Quick 15 when I drop in one of my Norvel 25 engines. The norvel weighs the same as most 15's and has the power of an OS32.

Carbon Fiber Tail Rotors

nope you missed my point. I'm talking about using a 60 size fin and putting it on a 30 or 50 size heli to protect the 60 size (95mm) tail blades. I'm sure the stock size would have bolted up fine. ;)

Carbon Fiber Tail Rotors

the $15 carbon freya fin from gr8lakes works great as the mounting holes are way too far apart.you can use 1 stock hole and drill your own second hole in the solid area

BRIGHT colors improving skills

the bright contrasting colors do help a lot, but the biggest visual improvement on a raptor is to put a single stripe of black electical tape at the bottom of the mold line

Where are all the good gyros??

buy a Futaba 401 even if you have to save for an extra week to get one, even if you don't buy the digital servo. The 240 is a slightly detuned version of the 401 and would be good to unless you want...
