RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I have my tabs set at neutral or up slightly most of the time. I am running lipo batteries so that lowers the weight a bit. You would think this would make for a really loose or uncontrolable run,...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

You're pretty much right deusync. There are quite a few issues with most of these boats right out of the box. I guess that's normal with most RTR boats though.(Especially this one as it is the first...

RE: aquacraft v24 vs. pro boat shockwave 55 ss

I'm glad I found this thread. I have had my eye on the BlackJack for a while. The enforcer boats do look nice and they have all the features that made the Blackjack attractive to me in the first...

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

You can get 7200 mAh (4 3600 wired in 2s2p) from battlepacks for 120 bucks plus only 18 bucks for the parallel adapters from tower. Steve will put the deans connectors on for you and the cell taps...

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

I'm not really sure about that. I've never used any packs with that feature. It would be interesting to see how well it works though. In theory it should provide a short amperage boost. I wonder if...

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

I have had several bad experiences with stick packs.(end to end cell orientation) The way that they weld or solder those together creates a point of high resistance and causes hot spots to form. I...

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

No Stick,

What kind of runtimes do you get with those packs? I was going to do a 2s2p setup with those cheap 4000mah 10C/21C packs from battlepacks. That would make for 8000 mah at 20C/24C....

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

Hey guys. I need some advice concerning LiPo batteries. I have finally decided to give them a shot. I would like to know what packs have been used with any success and also what charger/balancer has...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I think that's a bit more motor than stock. The motor in the SV is only around 1900kv according to what grim said a few days ago on this forum. It would be cool to see what it would do in a SV. Might...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I just installed my DX3.0 yesterday and it works great. Especially if you use the emergency steering option for the 3rd channel button. It allows you to have full steering ration whenever the button...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Does that mean you can't run 14 cells with the 12L? Are all the 540 sized Feigo motors this way?

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

loboboy,
I had this same problem and it turned out to be one of the brass fittings on the ESC heatsink. If you can screw it out, you can put teflon tape on it. I couldn't get mine out so I used...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Does anyone know which feigo motor would be a comparable replacement for the SV? Also has anyone used a Feigo as an upgrade for the SV and if so what model/size? I am curious because I am thinking...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

This is my first RTR boat and it is a lot of fun once all the bugs are worked out. I guess what it really comes down to is that there is no such thing as ready to run. That's fine with me. I like the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

If the rudder needs to be sharpened to pick up adequate water, why isn't it like that from the factory? It has become VERY apparent to me that the cooling system design on this boat is ramshackle at...

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

I have the SB 977 as well and have never noticed any difference in performance. It has always been dependable whether in the field using my car battery or on my workbench using the 120V power supply.

RE: SV27 Battery Thread

I think that Novak tray on ebay is just a relic from the NiCd days. My dad has one just like it that is about 12 years old. This vendor just bought up some old stock and is now marketing it for use...
