RE: What Plane Would You Want To See Turned Into A Kit?

Hi guys, good news. I made contact with a guy who can do cnc foam work for my plugs to make kits. It's not cheap, but it makes it so I can kit almost anything a lot faster now. I have another thread...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

Ok guys, here's the latest news. I can get a plug for the A320 made on cnc equipment and bring this thing to life fairly quickly in the grand scheme of things. I have estimated the materials and...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

Alrighty everyone, I'm going to go meet with the gentleman that does my cnc foam cutting tomorrow (for the plug), so I'll have a better idea how long it would take to bring this project together. I'm...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

At the rate I'm going I might put a couple on the drawing board over the coming months, still think I'll start with the A320

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

I have considered a 727 since I work under the last mile of the approach into Indianapolis, and Fed Ex brings in about fifty 727's every afternoon.... and it could be single engine, you are...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

I'll probably do a couple things to appeal to the masses and keep the plane priced right. There will be sport flyers that don't care about scale flaps, scale landing gear etc. That kit may be...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

Those are some interesting points, but the type of foam most guys would use for that is at least 1.5 pounds per square foot, so just ballparking it I'm pretty sure I would come out better than that...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

Shipping to Germany would be real expensive, but it can be done. I don't have plans to make a Canadair right now but I have looked at it.

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

Ok guys, is the general consensus that no one wants a big A-320 and I should do a Boeing product instead? Or do I have a bunch of Airbus lovers out there not chiming in yet?

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

I just checked out Norbert Rouch's site and those are awesome planes, but he uses fiberglass nose and tail cones, the rest of the plane including the body appear to be from foam. I'm talking about a...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

I know where plugs, moulds, plans and templates are for the 757-200 , along with a RTF version that would give Sean a quick jump start on a turbine version.

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

It's hard to ballpark it at this point, not knowing exactly what it will take materials wise, but I'm going to shoot for $1799- $1999 or less for an all composite kit, with wood formers installed,...

RE: Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

Initial calculations point to 18-20 pound turbines being just right. Of course, since I work in fiberglass it will be a full composite fuse, wings, and tail so that will help keep it light.

Anyone up for a BIG A-320 kit?

I'm considering kitting the A-320 just to have something really different available. I want to do it in 1/12 scale, which works out to 111.833 inch wingspan by 123 inches long. Is that too big to...

RE: Full scale flyers....roll call.

I got my PPL in the year 2000. Been kind hit or miss on the amount of time and money I have been able to devote to flying full scale ever since. But one of the recent highlights was when I got to fly...

The owner of these molds is getting some phone calls wondering what is happening, so please allow me to add some clarity to the situation.
