I have been in this hobby for ten years and the only kit i have bought and assembled was an RC10LSO but my first RC was a RTR stampede and i have always been the type that likes to take stuff apart...

The one i had was Green it may have been a super fast traxx but it was the full size 9.6V i think the difference in color though was that one was 27mhz and the other was 49mhz. I am going to look on...

I have the older model Jato 2.5 and though it was my first nitro truck i never had any problems controling it. It seems to me that would be the perfect one for you if you could find a NIB older model...
