My Dad and I built two Royal kits when I was a kid. A Ki-43 Oscar and an F4U-1D Corsair. I still have the Oscar and plan on doing a restoration of it soon. Only 1 more plane in line before I tackle...

RE: OT: Forgotten WWII-Era American Fighter Plane Found on Beach in Wales

Doubt there is anything left that is serviceable after 60 years under salt water and sand. Perhaps it could be used as an engineering template for other restorations or "remanufacture" of a new...

RE: One giant leap?

Jumping up to the PZ warbirds will be a big step. The Mustang and the FW-190 will fly much faster and are way more difficult to land. They do not glide well and have a tendecy to tip stall (roll...

RE: OLD Futaba conquest?????

Thanks for the info, I will find out if its a narrow band , I'll have to look when I get home. I think the cost issue will steer me toward "new". Thanks again, RLeed

OLD Futaba conquest?????

I have a Futaba Conquest 6 channel radio that I used way back when (late 80's early 90's). I got out of the hobby and just recently started flying again. I can't remeber when I bought it, had to be...

RE: Parkzone Supermarine Spitfire Mk11B

HZ is sending me a new one free of charge. They have been really good to me about replacing defective componets. I had a FW dive straight in at full power and they sent me a brand new one. They have...

O.K. The gearbox IS cracked. Now what is the fix for this? Will epoxy or CA hold or do I just get a couple of extra gearboxes and figure on changing them out. This really sucks that HZ would screw up...

RE: Swift: Lost in the Clouds!

I'm not very familiar with the swift, but if its a stable plane then I would imagine it would fly somewhat strait and level until the battery died and then it would begin a decent. Maybe not. I hope...

Thanks, forgive me for being a newbie, this is the first electric that I've set up. Sounds like I should do the 2s battery. Any idea of what I can expect for flight times with the stock set up???

GP C-12 ESC Question???

RE: a good docile warbird? (Suggestions?)

Check out the Parkzone spitfire. It is a very docile plane. Its slow flight is amazing for a warbird and it will do all the basic manuvers, Loops, Rolls, and flies inverted. Hand launches are a...

RE: Swift: Lost in the Clouds!

What type of clouds were they? If they were a cumulus type cloud they contain strong updrafts that could suck in your swift and spit it out tens of thousands of feet higher. Depending on the winds...

RE: PARKZONE WARBIRDS P51,FW190,SPIT+TROJAN

The plan is to order an extra wing and open it up to see whats inside. I understand that there is a foam "spar" inside so maybe something can be fabricated to anchor the gear to. The Great Planes...

RE: PARKZONE WARBIRDS P51,FW190,SPIT+TROJAN

RE: Parkzone Lipo batteries

I just purchased the 3s 2200 mAh battery and Li-po charger combo yesterday, I have not had a chance to test it in my FW-190 yet. I was only getting 5-7 minutes of flight time with the Ni-Mh stock...
