I noticed that the plans show two layers of balsa on the end ribs.
But there are only two "R6" ribs.

I see no mention of this in the instructions. Am I...

I use Hitec HS55 servos and .032 wire on my Bluecore plane, and I have broken all my servo arms (the ones with the holes perfectly drilled for .032 wire) .

By the way, my butchered APC prop is in the trash.

Thanks everyone

RE: Prop balancing

I could have added weight to the other side, but that much weight would be a danger as well. This thing was really out of balance.

RE: Prop balancing

I was talking about engine balance in reference to J_R's post (#4) suggesting I could cancel the prop unbalance with the piston unbalance.
Because it is the only post that takes...

RE: How to measure DC current

KW_counter - Are you saying put it in series?

Another way is to make or buy a shunt.
I wanted to measure a larger current of up to 20 Amps.
I made a shunt per the instructions :

RE: Prop balancing

All that advice is well and good. I won't use the prop.
I can see that I have compromised the structural integrity, and the safety of the thing.

The reason I posted in the first place is...

Prop balancing

I have a beef with the prop manufacturers.
It seems like I have to carve away a very large amount of material to balance my props.

The manufacturers should be able to computer balance them...

RE: how to make Bungee launch system?

A guy at our club made one that launches a small plane like a Zagi hands off. I think he saw the plans in RCModeler or some other popular magazine.
Here's how it works:

It's a small low...

RE: Hesitation while flying AFP

I was having a similar problem. I opened my CPU monitor and found that I had a process that hogged the cpu every 55 seconds.

I turned off just about every unnecessary service with no luck....

RE: Yak55sp For Aerofly Pro

I installed it (named the folder Yak55sp), but it doesn't show up in the list of aircraft.
Is this intended for expansion pack users only?

RE: AeroFly Pro most realistic plane for Torque rolls?

Thanks smallfly-RCU

JoeAirPort - my post was right on topic. torque rolls are a 3D maneuver and the Extra 330S is an AeroFly Pro plane.
Please relax.

I am also learning to hover, and I just have to say I'm thankful for AFP.
I am sure I have crashed hundreds of virtual planes already, and I haven't had to break out...

It's a good thing the thread is titled "not really 1/2 A"

'cause that thing is REALLY not really 1/2 A !

Especially by the rocketry definition of 1/2 A
