RE: New traxxas t-maxx problems......sigh!

I didn't follow the Traxxas break-in instructions and just did the heat cycle method. After about 35-45 mins, the motor was broken in and ready for tuning.

Don't get to discouraged. It could be...

RE: T-maxx UPSHIFTS FINE DON'T DOWNSHIFT

So does it actually stay in second, or does it eventually wind down and gets back into first?

RE: 17mm hex adaptors

I just used a flathead screwdriver to pry the stock 14mm ones off. Then slide out the pin and you're ready to instal the adapters!

RE: Traxxas 3.3 power rating ??

RE: Traxxas 3.3 power rating ??

I agree! My experiance with this motor in a Revo, and brand new in my S-Maxx has been great! I got more out of it on the S-Maxx because it is a lot lighter than the Revo.

Easy to break in, easy...

RE: finshed revo break in, now what?

Oh and I wanted to add that getting the FOC will also shed some excess weight too. You might want to look into that as well.

RE: finshed revo break in, now what?

+1 on the MotorSaver AF and a tuned exhaust. Also, shedding excess weight would help too. I removed the EZ start right away on my S-Maxx and it shaves more than couple oz's.

I like the THS...

RE: T-Maxx transmission question...

Speaking of transmissions, has anyone had any time to try out the 3-speed tranny kit by RAD RC? Sounds like it would be overkill, but I've haven't heard or even seen one in person. Thoughts?

RE: T-maxx 3.3 exhaust ?

Some tuned pipes come with a stinger and that usually quiets them down some. I'm running the Traxxas Resonator pipe right now with a stinger on it. Not too loud at all!

RE: excited !!!!

My best friend has a Revo, and I absolutely love that thing! It is pretty fast and sturdy out of the box, so you shouldn't be disappointed with the 3.3. Although he eventually upgraded to the .26...

RE: 2.5 to 3.3 upgarde

You can look up their program on the Traxxas website. Basically, it will tell you to take your motor w/ carb to your LHS and exchange it. Your LHS will provide you with a brand new 3.3 TRX for around...

RE: Revo Wheels

The stock Revo tires wear really quick IMO. I haven't had a chance to run my Sportmaxx tires though. They came already wrapped on the wheels, but not glued!!! What kind of RTR does that? [:'(]

RE: T-MAXX 3.3 WONT START

Wow even lighter huh? How does the Tiger Drive compare to the XTM hex-starter? I'd imagine that they are practially the same....

RE: T-MAXX 3.3 WONT START

I just installed a brand spanking new 3.3 with pull starter into my S-Maxx. Holy hell, that thing was a PITA to start!!!!

The EZ start would have made it, well easier. But I wanted to reduce...

RE: Maximizer Beadlocks

My buddy ended up going with the Axial bead lockers. I don't remember which model, but those things were pretty heavy too. Instead of 8 screws per wheel, the Axial's have 16 screws per wheel.

RE: NEED HELP AND ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT MONSTER TRUCK

Oh, this dave guy (the op) picked up a Savage 4.6 BTW. He's all in the HPI forum now pumped up!

Booo to HPI! LoL!

I can't hate too much, my RS4 is still in the garage looking pretty. :)

RE: NEED HELP AND ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT MONSTER TRUCK

No, they are not the same size. I know this by experience. I got a T-Maxx body and it's too damn long. Looking at the details it's for a 3.3 T-maxx. The 2.5 is either smaller or uses the dimensions...

RE: NEED HELP AND ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT MONSTER TRUCK

The Savage isn't too fast, but it is beastly and can take a "savage" bashing!

The Revo is great all around. Fast, tough, and unique. There is no other RC that I know of that is anywhere near...
