I used a Zenoah 26 mainly for weight, still had to add a piece of lead to balance.AS for the elevator i doubled the size of the wire and screwed on plate around tailwheel so i can check for any...

Yes my Frank is in a semi gloss kind of film, seems they do a gloss and a matt finish.

Just checked mine and is exactly leval with stabiliser, moved c of g back slightly goes really well on Zenoah 26.Just have to add guns and pilot.

Test flew today into a 5 knot headwind.Ten or twelve paces was airborne, scale speed, looks really good, c of g 105 mm.

Yes its debateable, i have a account of a P47 pilot descibing a FW190 that was coming in to attack{he was shot up trying to get back to England}and he talkes about the gleaming highly waxed yellow...

Thanks for photos speedpro, got mine identical to yours, run up engine no problems.By the way went to an airshow here with a genuine Zero and it had a gloss finish so i guess mines correct.

Hi Speedpro1,did you have to remove carb venturi, i did and fitted a crrc muffler which bolts straight on and its a bit thinner.Wings joined and on to fuse.Thought long and hard abought elevator...

Apparantly there is a matt and a gloss one.On searching the net it appears a lot of jap planes were painted in gloss colour schemes,some allied pilots desribing shiny zeros and such like.

I mounted the spinner and eyeballed the gap so spinner is even with cowl then drilled cowl mounting holes. Looke fine.
