RE: Interchangeable Savage parts: Flux & Nitro

Why do you type in caps? Do you think I'm some kind of moron? Typing in all caps, insinuates that your are yelling, and I don't see a reason for yelling. Not only that, but your post does not make...

RE: hpi savage FLUX....XL revealed

Hows the XL flux doing now anyways? Are your maxamp batteries toast? How much did they puff? I want a flux pretty bad, but I won't be able to get one for a few months.

RE: Interchangeable Savage parts: Flux & Nitro

Does anyone know if the dog bones are the same? What about the diffs? I have a nitro savage that I plan on using for a donor truck to a flux, for when I break it etc.

RE: hpi savage FLUX....XL revealed

I never thought of this. What is forkshifting? Is that basically locking the tranny in second gear?

Interchangeable Savage parts: Flux & Nitro

I own a Savage X SS with a LRP engine, and a load of spare parts. I've recently gotten into the battery scene with a Slash that I put a VXL kit into. I like batteries more and more now, and I'm...

RE: A Savage Flux has room for options with LIPO

IMHO beadlocks would be a no-no with a 3s lipo. I think most brushless setups with 3s or more will blow them clean off the rim.

RE: Savage flux running NiMh

If your afraid of 3s, you could always reduce the throttle end point, if you have a decent controller. Or, you could also program the ESC to not go full throttle. 3s IMHO makes brushless setups...

RE: 4600 Nimh only taking ~2000mah

I'm throwing my Phrophet Plus charger in the garbage. I think it's killed about 4 of my batteries. I now have a Hyperion 0606i, and it's awesome.

What gearing you running in your Brushless Slash?

What gearing are you guys using in your brushless slashes? I just bought a 3S lipo, and put it in my brushless slash with 26/83 gearing, and it's a freaking monster. I need to make a front spoiler...

RE: Shorting out a Lipo

Lol, the batteries I've ever shorted out, I did 100% on purpose. I've never accidentally shorted out any battery. I'm very careful when I solder any connectors on any batteries. When I was talking...

Shorting out a Lipo

Out of curiosity, how does shorting out a Lipo or LiMn battery kill it immediately? I've shorted out lots of other types of batteries (however, only very momentarily) and they've been fine. What is...

RE: Dang. I broke something else.

I'm having this exact same problem with a 7 cell stick pack with IB4600 cells. One of the rear cells gets very hot (150) while all the other cells hover around 105. What position in the stick pack...

RE: Show off your classic, 1980 or older truck bodies

Yeah, I always liked the C10's. Nice looking trucks. The orange I picked might be a little too exuberant, but it's turned out ok I guess. I still haven't bashed with that body yet, I'm afraid to...

RE: road rage tires gone bad

That's what driving like a raped ape, and cornering on concrete / asphalt will do to a low profile tire. Not much you can do to extend the life, besides not cornering so hard. Looks like the tread...
