I also recently installed the wowhobbies brushless upgrade in my Twister Hawk (I'd like to think of it as a CX2 :) ) and it was actually quite easy to install. I also have the blade grip conversion...

Yes, I can see a thin peice of tape inbetween the pcb board and the heatsink....but i've tried tugging at the heatsink and its not coming off LOL ... is it possible for me to take a flat head...

Well I tried to push the limits of my CEN Waveshark with 14 cells and couldn't resist wiring up a 16 cell set....and man did it FLY!!!!!!!! This thing was insane and lasted all of 4 minutes... esc...

Do you really need a Thrust Bearing? My motor shaft is 5mm but the thrust bearings off OSE and FE are over $20 shipped....

Can you simply use any 5mm inner diameter bearing?

I'm guessing its the stock Waveshark shaft, I'm not exactly sure...I just bought it off eBay and it was kind of in shambles when I got it...here's a pic of the finished....

Ok, I read over the sticky and you're right....I should stick to less than 2000KV and yes my 60a esc is brushless. I've also been told that if I do go to a higher powered system that I may need to...

whoa! your waveshark is pretty fast in the 2nd movie with the Mega S-6 motor. Is that a brushless setup? Also, how did you get it to upright on its own? Does it do that automatically...

I've finally done it!!! Mind you, it took 3 tries with 3-foot long alum tubes to get the motor coil right and alot of help with from LHS gurus....they all thought I was crazy to bend my own coil!!...
