with receiver and radio turned on, hold the brakes and press the button (inside the small hole) on the receiver until it starts flashing. Once it stops flashing let go of everything and ur failsafe...

have you tried re-binding the receiver with the radio? try that, it might solve the issues, and also try resenting the fail safe.

Yes, what u said is all correct. but it depends on how badly the bearings throw the alignment off. if both bearings go and they go in a bad way, then yes it might be pretty bad like ur saying.

Ive been using a stock Savage X 4.6 clutch bell and plastic spur for 15+ gallons.

and btw, ur bearings could be totally screwed up, they wont affect performance one single bit! the bearings DO...

The answer to your question is Yes. You want the upper bolts to be tightened, not just held in by the lock nut. What you want is to tighten it till the nut contacts the plastic, then give it another...
