It appears the Dynaflite “Piece O’ Cake” kit has been discontinued. [X(] That is sad for those of us who grew up with this motor glider. I was using the wing parts for my Drifter II sailplane...

WINDRIFTER Craft-Air/Dynaflite

For some of us in the know, this was a great 100 inch thermal bird back in the day, and from what I have read was quite competitive against it’s contemporary ships. It was designed by Tom Williams...

RE: Dynaflite Piece O' Cake

I am no expert on covering material.
I have always used monokote because of what I have read about its extra strength compared to the others. It has always worked well for me. I do prefer the...

RE: Dynaflite Piece O' Cake

I really enjoy the slow and floaty flight characteristics of the Piece O’ Cake / Drifter II models. These two both use the same exact wing rudder and stab. The difference is in the fuselage...

RE: Engine on Sailplane

Here is an option to motorizing your glider. Years ago I used a .061 motor with a throttle control by building a power pod. It had a small gas tank, a motor, and a mini servo and it worked real...
