RE: Hanger9 Carden Yak DL50

RE: Hanger9 Carden Yak DL50

That's good to know. Thanks.

I've had to re-epoxy the engine box a few times. I finally put in some dowel corner cross braces and it seems to be holding up fine now. The log I keep shows about...

RE: Hanger9 Carden Yak DL50

Well, since I fly a lot of 3-D just off the ground I rarely fly over 10 minutes...which uses just about 1/2 a tank. I am using a DA50R engine. The longest flight I've made so far has been about 14...

RE: H9/Carden Yak 54

I assembled mine just as the instructions said and have not had any problems after 60+ flights. I suspect the reasons for not using the cone washer are:
They really aren't necessary to get...

RE: Extra 260 27% Hangar 9er

Nice! Good Luck!

Actually, you can probably go to your local hardware store or autoparts store and purchace a tool called "EZ-out." Make sure you get a small enough one! You might want to...

RE: H9/Carden Yak 54

Ok, a couple more. Take a close look at the pilot and you will see it is "Mr. Googles." I glued some of those Googly eyes on it and use some black pipe cleaner to make eyebrows that give him a...

RE: H9/Carden Yak 54

Thank you so much for the info, Deathbunny. I think I will make the change over. I calculate that using the larger batteries will only increase the weight a couple oz. over my current install and...

RE: H9/Carden Yak 54

No, I haven't crashed mine yet, so I am not exactly sure how the control horns are anchored.

However, on my other Extra 260 the control horns are epoxied in place into hardwood.

BTW I had...

RE: H9/Carden Yak 54
