The owner also built an AVRO Tutor in which he placed the Seidel ST770, came out on 12kg.
He replaced it with the Zenoah ZG80 twin, because of the...

RE: Are

Hello Abu,

If you are planning to put the Seidel 70cc in the 1:3,6 strutter then I think it will be underpowered!
The power will be marginal in a 12-13kg plane, 7-10kg will work fine for the...

RE: G20, G23, G26, G38 reduction gear?

It just looks terrific!

WW1 birds had very large props and it just looks a little foolish if your prop isn't larger as the cowl [:'(]

RE: CD-ScaleDesigns RAF SE-5a build

Hi Teus,

Looks so good this new front!

I recall a story in 'High in the empty blue' (p.357) where a pilot Richard Shutes was nicknamed 'shutters',
He got this nickname because of a...

RE: 1/3 Scale SE5a Scratch Build

The 10" wheels come from Mick Reeves as supplied with the kit
These are light and strong, plastic spoke wheels with ABS vacuum moulded sidecovers
Easy to make, perhaps also good for your SE5A?

RE: Albatros DVa

Yes, I know :D

But I do love to see that this Albatros is capable of doing this!
It must be a very strong and well engineered model to do so
I know I love it and I only wanted to share this...

I am very curious what the gear ratio the Byron reduction has for your P51
Also what 4-bladed prop size it takes at what rpm, with the quadra 42
Anyone?

Wonderfull project!

Rig your Pup completely and then remove the turnbuckle locks (keep em in place with tape or so)
Turn each buckle 1/4 turn tighter, then see if it's enough
Repeat...

I let go of the idea because I thought it should be way too large
But if you need the noseweight anyway...(and you already have got a...

RE: BALSA USA 1/3 SOPWITH PUP?????

Craig,

Flat rigging wires look very good
but be aware of them, they are very unfriendly during transport (ask me how I know)
The flat wires have to be (silver)soldered to the clevis rod and...
