Thanks for that BUT, I am looking for the maximun voltage that the RECEIVER end can handle. I know what voltage is acceptable on the battery input side.

Skywriter smoke pump question

I'm putting together a 100cc airframe and considering doing a smoke setup on it.

My question is can the Sullivan Skywriter handle straight 2s lipo voltages through the receiver plug side???

yep, go with DA50 or DL50. Had a DL on mine and the power was great..If I had another I wouldnt even consider a different setup

Yes the eagle tree system will record how many Mah's were used. if your willing to keep it hooked up and monitoring in flight.

I doubt that it is tail heavy with a 26cc gasser in the nose.

I had a Saito 125 on my previous one and mounted the receiver pack up in the hatch. CG was 13-14cm with that setup.

Got some more work done on it, took a little weight out and shortened the rudder. Now it has the look of an Extra300 rudder and is a little better scaled to the airframe in my opinion. shouldnt hurt...

I use a shallow 1/4 drive 7/16's mechanics socket. Its just big enough for the bolt to go through. It takes up the slack and allows it to be tightened down good and snug.

Here is a rough idea of what different pitch will do at different rpm and I doubt that the 26cc gasser will spin the 16x10 prop at even 6000rpm.

A common 50cc conversion would be Hacker A60-18L or A60-16L on 12s 5000mah lipo with a Castle HV110 esc.

That seems to be the standard that most are using

Or you could use an Ar9100 receiver and 2 receiver batteries and be done with it.

Very simple with not much to fail down the road....

I agree with all the others, Even though technically you shouldnt have any problems. It should be common practice to, NEVER power down the transmitter with out FIRST disconnecting the motor battery....
